[Open] Drunk uncle is in town

WHO: Oghren and whoever wants to meet him
WHAT: Oghren has sloshed into Skyhold. Time for people to meet him.
WHEN: Starting on Drakonis 9 and going on after that
WHERE: Locations in Skyhold
NOTES: Oghren is a perv. And a drunk. And has a dirty mouth. That's a good start for a warning right?

Arrival - Closed to Anders and Nathaniel

He'd been on a cart the last he'd checked. Likely some merchant heading this way with some supplies. Really he hadn't paid much attention and had simply heard 'headed to Skyhold' and had hopped on. Good enough for him. He could do the whole riding with a stranger thing. Besides, he could kick their ass if he needed to.

Still, all of this had led to him being under a bush somehow. Feet sticking out, stinking up the location. Really one would think a body had just died under that bush considering how it wasn't moving. And this was what Anders and Nate got to stumble upon while they were out together doing...whatever they were doing.

Good thing that upon investigation there was suddenly a loud snore coming out of the bush. Hooray not a dead guy!

Hello Skyhold - Open to EVERYONE ELSE

After having gotten his bearings a bit here, namely he was now here and he'd refilled his flask, Oghren could now be seen figuring this place out. The training grounds, the Warden camp, and the tavern were his favorite places to be for various reasons. But it wasn't really hard to miss the fact that there was a new dwarf in town. Not only did he have flaming red hair but he wasn't exactly stealthy. And that was before anyone touched on that unique odor attached to him.

Yep, Oghren was here and he was determining whether or not he regretted coming to a place that didn't seem to have much excitement going on. But he supposed that since it had booze that he could get past that a bit. So one could likely find him drinking or telling tall tales or even giving his axe a swing (don't worry, he kept that to the training grounds). Whatever the case was, they were easily greeted by him suddenly letting out a loud belch then him looking over.

"Eh? You need something there?"

Taas comes along, easy and a little amused that a concerned question and a general confusement ended up with drinks. Honestly, that's how all misunderstandings should go, in his opinion.

He enters the tavern by dodging the door frame to fit his whole height inside. That poor door had more than a few nicks and scratches from the qunari around here, and he was currently the tallest of them all - almost enough to smack his forehead rather than horns.

Taking a seat, he made himself comfortable and ordered an ale. Now that he could give the dwarf his full attention, Taas takes a moment to figure out what he was saying - even with the gesture to the ears. How or how much?

He'll go with how. At least the big warrior didn't seem uncomfortable talking about it.

"Gaatlok explosion. A whole cart of it, and me right next to it. Close enough to tear away sound forever... but not close enough to kill me. I was lucky." His squad, not so much.

Taas is still straining to follow along, but he manages to catch most of that sentence and it makes him curious. A dwarf that knew about the qunari secret? "I've never heard of anyone outside of the Qun that has worked with gaatlok. Hopefully he didn't blow anything important up."

The belch almost looks like the beginning of another word, but ends in nothing but a facial expression and a smell, and the warrior chuckles slightly. This guy wasn't ashamed of anything, and it was a bit of a fresh air.

Not literally, but still.

"I'll see what I can teach you. I have to admit I'm curious to see how similar this silent talk is compared to sign language or rogue's code." Taas starts going over the basics, happily incorporating some filth. A lot of people asked for flirty or sexy words, but there was just something about teaching another person how to sign 'flying asshole'.

It was impressive to see how much the dwarf could drink without losing focus. Oghren was obviously drunk but still had a clear enough head to ask question that made sense... which was honestly amazing.

The basic things were gone through slowly, and he didn't go into depth right away, since it was just their first time. Instead he explains the difference between a visual language and a spoken one, and that it wasn't always possible to translate exactly.

Then the dwarf asks his question and Taas' face softens a little. A kid, was it?

"Well, hello and little are fairly easy," he says, showing the signs. "Just don't get it mixed up with 'dwarf'. Nugget is a little more special. Are we talking baby nug or an ore nugget?"

Aww, that was honestly adorable. Taas smiles again and then shows Oghren the sign for ore nugget. Then he repeats the other sign, so that the dwarf can put them together. "Little nugget," the qunari says softly. "I'm sure they'll like that."

The next request makes the warrior a little more thoughtful. Cousland... that was the missing Warden-Commander. Jonas, if he wasn't confused.

"Names are a little special and might be more complicated. You usually have to spell each letter. So here is a J...O...N...A and S." He shows them on his big fingers, slowly so that the dwarf could keep up.

"That looks fine. I'm sure he'll enjoy it." It wasn't hard to figure out what the point of it was, after all. It makes Taas wonder how old the little ones was, though. Would he understand the trouble his dad went through to learn?

Then Oghren's demeanor changes a bit and Taas gives a nod. "Don't worry. I don't go around spreading personal information. Especially not about kids." It could be easily used as leverage, after all - even if just for teasing.

"Is he safe from all this mess?" He then asks, softly. The qunari doubts this man would allow anything less, but it seemed like a good topic to break the tension.

"Mothers are quite resourceful, I've learned." Just like tamassran.

"I'm glad he's far away from this mess. It's hard on the ones we already have... Zevran's boy, for once, and one of the dalish is pregnant and about to pop at any moment." It wasn't really a good environment for kids, but sometimes it just couldn't be helped.

Taas shrugs a little again, shaking off the thought.

"So he's not inherited that striking red hair?"

Taas holds up his half-full mug and smiles. "A toast to good mothers and sons." It seemed the dwarf had lived a full life so far, and the qunari kind of likes him. Personal hygiene and obvious alcohol issues aside, he hit all the good person pings on Taas' radar.

"I only recently learned about love and what it truly means rather than the Qun propaganda, so it's nice to hear about these things. Even if it didn't work out." It's sad, but Oghren doesn't seems to have survived it.

"Me?" Taas looks a little surprised and then laughs, shaking his head. A cute girl would be pretty nice, but none of them held up to the ones in his heart. "It feels like a third of Skyhold wants to give me a try," he starts, because people were curious - or racist AND curious. "...but there are two elves that have captured my heart." He takes another sip of his ale before nodding to a waitress to bring another one.

"You know Zevran, I assume."
