"We should help him."
Beleth looked as unsure as her voice sounded, as she crossed her arms and glanced over at the man in question. That man was currently having a bit of a meltdown, probably because his house happened to be blazing merrily. Beleth couldn't help but recall with a bit of guilt how she had written just a bit ago that this whole thing ought to be put up in flames. Well, she'd meant after all the occupants had left, for the record.
However, his distress was apparently not enough to overcome his dislike for the scouting group, because as soon as Beleth tried approaching him, he started shouting at her, waving his arms about and hollering about outsiders and not needing their help. The Dalish quickly retreated back over to the group, standing next to Merrick, and looking rather perplexed.
"Well. We can't force him to accept our help, I guess...?" She still didn't sound very convinced of the entire affair, turning to the rest of her team for their advice.

As he'd thought, the conflagration has drawn many of the undead out of the waters. They amble toward the house, and Merrick rushes to cut them down, a blur darting around the water's edge.

"Be careful!" She calls after the other Dalish, her brows furrowing in concern. She doesn't want to nag him, and he's a good fighter, but even the best fighter can be overwhelmed. Beleth tries to shove down that urge to fret over her friends, and turns to the strange man. Only to get more yelling and wild gesturing, some of which she has to lean away to avoid, lest she get whacked by a stray limb. Well, he's mostly calling her an outsider and nagging after the journal, which is certainly not the worst insult she's received.
"Hey, so, where exactly is--Yes, we're outsiders--Please, ser--" Duck. "Can you just--Yes, okay, I know we're strangers--And I'm an elf--Ser, the journal--" Duck again. As she leans out of the way, she glances over her shoulder to Sabriel. "It sounds like it's on top of a desk...probably in his study--yes, ser, she's a mage, she's going to help you, now can you--" And she glances over at Martin, a pained expression on her face. Help.

Zombies.
Really, real zombies. Well the reports did say something about walking corpses, but Walker didn't exactly think that it was literal. His surprise wore off eventually though. Unslinging the spear that he had grabbed back in Skyhold, he went to work, still somewhat wishing that he had his guns, but the weapon felt somewhat similar at least and got the job done.
Quickly the man moved to help Beleth and the ranting man. Time to earn his keep.
Quickly he liked one of the zoms before glancing to Beleth, "I'll take care of the zombies if you take care of him."
