It said something about the sheer force of the two men currently snuggled on the last clean bed the bar had to offer that said bar breathed a sigh of relief when they were both out of sight. Or maybe it was the bar owner glad they weren't having to drain their tankards dry to feed the bottomless bit that was the red haired man. Coin was well and good, but angry customers from an empty barrel was worse.
Not that Kirk cared, sloshed as he was and snuggled into Iskandar. He had been delighted when Iskandar had arrived in Kirkwall, finding him and nearly running to greet the other. It had been lonely without his presence in the city (which is not to say he had not enjoyed Samouel's company, because of course he had, but Iskandar was his own sort of presence and the lack was greatly felt). Iskandar's arrival had been greeted with hugs, kisses, and a prompt trip to the "best" bar in town once they had a spare moment. A bar naturally meant drink, and lots of it, and with neither of them in precisely good shape to be wandering the streets at night they had ordered a room.
Which led to their currently positions of Kirk cuddled into the massive man, laughing as they exchanged peppering kisses and little nips, hands wandering over each other as the bed creaked beneath their joined weight. It was a bar's bed after all, not the proper construct Kirk had been planning to have build that could support their loving activities.
"It's to bad Samouel couldn't come," Kirk hummed, kissing along Iskandar's neck. "I know he's missed you too. You have to be sure to go by tomorrow and see him, okay?" He looked up at Iskandar now, a drunken pout on his lips before staring intensely at his lover. "Promise me, okay?"
Such was the determination of a drunken man in love.

"But yes. I have loved you for several months."

"No, I believe in it," Kirk corrected with a pout before his addled mid suddenly decided now was a moment to become serious, even pensive. "It's just not for me. Love at first sight and all. It would be incon - incon - hard since I travel a lot."
He let out a soft, sighing sound, curling further into Iskandar, forehead nestled into the crook of shoulder and neck.
"I like that about you," he murmured. "You can say things like that, and I know you mean it." He paused, fingers curling against the broad chest. "It doesn't scare me."

He laughed softly then wrapped his arms around him so that way he could hold him closer. Jim was cute like this, so cuddly and affectionate. It was a memory he knew he was going to cherish for a long time to come.
"You should do it as well. It feels good."

He would blame the alcohol and sure it shared part of the blame. But they did say that when you said things drunk, it was the truth. Perhaps he would remember in the morning. Perhaps he would not. But it wouldn't make the feelings less true.
"Captains have a bit harder time of it," he insisted, eyes drooping.

Drunk or not he was still going to point out how that didn't make any logical sense.
no subject
"No, not.. not that," he sighed, hiccuping after a sharp intake of breath. "I mean like saying I love you. But loving like this." His brow scrunched, obviously searching for words that wouldn't quite come to mind in his drunken state, forcing a frustrated gurgle out of him that he buried in Iskandar's chest.
"Can't have those kinds of relationships."
no subject
Really that was good enough for him.

He laughed warmly, the alcohol doing its work and pulling him down into sleep. It helped too that he felt safe with Iskandar's arms around him, assured nothing would happen - a security he hadn't felt with anyone other than Sam since arriving in Thedas.
"Night, Iskandar..." he murmured. "Sweet dreams..."
