The manor stands in Hightown, Kirkwall's high class area where the nobles live. Fenris had intended to step in and reclaim it when he'd first arrived in Kirkwall, but there were... complications. Major complications. He's had to do quite a bit of sneaky surveillance to find out what was even going on. As he uncovered more over the course of the month, it only made him angrier. A magister had seen fit to move on in and take over while he'd been away. To make matters worse, he's brought along a bunch of slavers, and they've really started making themselves at home as they use the house as a base of operations.
Now that Fenris has all of the information, he's more sure than ever that this has to be dealt with. Immediately. It's more than he can handle alone, though.
So he asks around and finally gathers a group together to deal with it...
Group 1: Fenris, Aleron, Bethany, and Korrin
- This group will be going in first! They'll make their way through the house and generally deal with taking down slavers. There's another subthread for the initial battle against the magister and his followers.
Group 2: Inessa, Church, Saoirse, and Ellana
- After a rift erupts and Fenris makes a distress call over the crystals, these folks will be joining in. Now it's a matter of fiiighting all the demons, and making sure that rift gets sealed. (It's all on you, Church!)

"Oh, fuck you." Korrin narrows her eyes at the magister and casts Dispel in hopes of negating it for Fenris' sake, then summons her spirit blade as she charges another guard mage. Whoever steps in her way is going to wish they had picked just about any other target.

Her staff flared in her hand as she twisted it in the air, to bring across her first wave of ice towards the oncoming hoarde. "And the only person going away in shackles, if they are going anywhere at all, is you, you dirty bloody slaver."

At least Fenris finds himself able to move around more thanks to Korrin's help. He doesn't have time to spare for more words just now, though, as the mage still cornering him grins viciously and readies another hex. But with his speed returning, Fenris shifts into his ghostly-looking state and counters fast with a Spirit Pulse, dark energy slamming into the mage.
Calanthus steadies himself soon enough, and unleashes an especially powerful Paralyzing Hemorrhage upon the group, going straight to blood magic to suck away his enemies' life force or render them useless... whichever happens first. Elemental spells keep coming from the others, fire and ice shooting toward the group, blasting throughout the area and causing quite a lot of damage.

Then she shifted her step, and moved into her Abyss spell, yanking all three of the mages together into one group, making it hard for them to move - to cast - and more importantly putting them in one place for Korrin to strike with her Spirit Blade while she prepared her Cone of Cold to freeze them all solid, and hopefully shatter them to pieces.

"I have no tolerance for weakness!" Calanthus shouts and aims to drain away his own ally's life force, sucking power away from that weaker mage, causing her to cry out, dropping lifelessly to the ground. He then casts a haste over himself and his remaining allies, the two of whom concentrate on shooting lightning spells at the group.
"I've heard much about your disgust for magic, elf. You can't tell me you actually care for these mages here." Calanthus sneers, aiming a Horror spell at them next.
If he were only close enough to the damned magister, Fenris might well be able to reach in and rip his heart out. That fury is pounding through him now, the anger fueling him onward. Revenge... he wants it so much that he can almost taste it. He can't bring himself to respond in any way but with his sword, though the magister's words have clearly gotten to him.
"You're wrong," he finally says, the words smoldering with rage. His feelings toward mages may be clouded and complicated... but he's learned a lot about who he can trust now. Fenris charges forth with his two-handed abilities, for now only able to take his anger out on one of the mages as Calantus remains annoyingly out of reach.

Her barrier absorbs the lightning blasts, growing weaker. She'll let it fade a little more to cast Dispel on the magister, then follows it up with some Chain Lightning of her own. That barrier will have to be renewed soon, but it's worth it to fry them back.

Magisters. Andraste's Mercy, save them all from MAGISTERS.
"Weakness is using someone else to fuel your own gifts." She yelled, as her Maker's Fury slammed down on all of them again, "Or haven't you noticed that we are more than capable of handling you just fine on our own?"

The Maker's Fury and the lightning slam into their enemies. Seeing them all stagger from both mages' attacks is a welcome sight.
"That's..." Fenris pauses, having to swing his sword to fend off against one of the mages, stopping him from casting something else. "That's the difference between you and other mages... I've seen that by now! I've come to understand it. They're not all like you. You and others like you... power is all you care about... power and nothing more!" He swings at the mage he's facing, wounding them badly. Good. He pushes forward, finally getting closer to his main target, bracing himself first for the next attack.
At this point, both the lesser mages are extremely slowed, even as they work on barriers of their own. One blasts fire toward the group. The other mage staggers badly, looking like one more blast will take him out... he sticks with lightning, bolts sizzling around the room. As for Calanthus, he still seems to be a little bit less affected than the others. The magister shouts, casting Horror over his opponents, following that up with his own massive blast of fire.
