Bethany was waiting for her little group in front of the Viscount's Palace, and if they happen to get there early they can see her pensive expression as she looks off to the crater where the Chantry once stood. She was, after all, a Fereldan dog who called Kirkwall her home, so every wound here is personal.

Yet as soon as the others appear, her cheer returns, as she excitedly leads them to the Library of Kirkwall, in the lower levels of the Palace. Scholars wander between the tall shelves, but Bethany has an old brass key, and she leads them further down, down, down into the cellars of the library, where crates of books await them. Some are moldy, some are old and falling apart, and some of them are just useless ... but keep looking, you don't know what you might find ...be

She watches much like the student who once lived in this city back when the Gallows was more of a cage than a home. As the woman finishes the spell, Saoirse smiles just as brightly and nods.

"Wow, amazing. It's not something I ever thought I would learn especially when I lived in the Gallows before."

Bethany gave her a quiet grin, before she spoke once more, "Well, now that you are out of the Gallows -- you can learn all kinds of useful magic. I learned quite a bit on my own - and I help out with Anders' school, if you're ever looking for lessons, or just a direction to focus your studies on."

"Mm, I've probably learned more myself since leaving than I ever did when I was in Kirkwall. I remember trying to teach the little ones as best I could," she says with a soft chuckle. "I was never good at Creation magic though and sadly, Entropy magic is not nearly as popular as the others."

With a shake of her head, Saoirse reaches back toward the tomes and takes another one that is in much better shape than the one she held before. "I am always willing to learn though. Who knows how it may help in the future."

"Precisely so - I took a great deal of Elemental magic, but I've also mastered Creation as well. It was later that I took on Force Magic." She handed over the book. before going back to her own. "We must always educate ourselves, as much as possible."
