PLAYER PLOT: Enfenim

WHAT: A demon has trapped Pel in the Fade.
WHEN: Forward-Dated to 25 Firstfall
WHERE: The Gallows, the Fade
NOTES: Trigger warning bonanza for insects, body horror, corpses, dismemberment/maiming, death, illness, drowning, blood + will update if any more happen.

What am I to do with all of these dolls?
They've covered the floors, they've covered the walls.
They're stacked up chin-high all over the floor,
But my greedy child is screaming for more...

"Neither are you."

It's not one voice, but many. Up above, the corpses' mouths are moving, but it is not their voices coming out.

"Saoirse needs to see this. She needs to remember this. No matter what she gives, no matter the love she feels, you are all just sacks of meat in the end."

[eolasemah]

The specter turns her gaze up to the sky, troubled.
"This meat is poison," she replies, extending her hands out to both sides and leaving her vividly glowing sternum vulnerable to the sky. "You will choke on it and die before you touch Saoirse."

[sulena]

"I cannot leave here," she says with increasing strength. "I must bring my friend home."

Clutching her staff tighter, she steps out closer to the specter but her focus on the sky and the corpses. It makes her heart thump loudly in her chest but she pushes onward. These are not her friends, these are not her family...

"I'll prove you wrong. We'll show you how much love can accomplish when we take Pel home and leave you here to rot!"

"I love Pel," the voices say. "All I want--"

There's a clap of thunder. The blood turns into rain, the corpses into clouds. The alienage is full of life again as people scramble to get their drying laundry indoors. Children are splashing, playing in the puddles, and all the world is clean and fresh.

"--is to make her fear go away," concludes a small voice.

Turning away from the sky and to Saoirse, the spectre holds out its hand. "Don't engage," it advises with a smile, "I know where she is. I'll bring you there."

[sulena]

Calmly, Saoirse looks to the spectre's offered hand before very slowly taking it. "Okay, take me there. Please."
