Cyril was pleased with how many had wanted to help with this party. Christine had offered to distract both Kirk and Sam. Adasse had put together some tasty potatoes. Korrin had arrived to help arrange furniture to use the space better for a crowd and had brought spiced wine and sweets. Anders had helped with decorations.
They had done well, even with the food shortage, and the house smelled inviting thanks the the work of everyone coming together.

"Something told me that sneaky thing would be in on this."
His words are warm though, clearly affectionate towards the elf and especially the gift. He set the gift aside and wrapped his arm around Prompto in a quick hug.
"Thank you, Prompto. I love it. I'm glad your camera can work here, too."

Prompto returns the hug, giving Kirk a hearty pat on the back before pulling back.
"Wish it was my digital one, but then it wouldn't work for long. So I guess, yeah, I'm lucky I have one that I can use here." So long as supplies last, which, they're just about down to zero.

"It is a bit weird that we can't make more advanced materials work here, or they just completely refuse to work when they do come here," Kirk admitted. "Though I suppose going through some sort of inter-dimensional space warp probably messes with them to a degree." He missed his communicator okay? It was his one for sure shot out of here. Well, all right, not sure, but a better chance than most, and it was a useless paperweight at the bottom of his trunk.
"You keeping unfrozen?" he asked, referring to the time they had sat together, our shoveling snow.

"Yeah, more or less!" Layers and fireplaces work wonders. "How've you been holding up?"

"Less electrical charge, perhaps?" he suggested. "More organic material? It's any number of guesses." Which was always frustrating. He didn't like that sort of thing. He liked answers.
"Oh, well enough," he shrugged. "Just taking it one day at a time, as usual. Not much else to really do here, right?"
no subject
"Yeah, no clue. Still, what I wouldn't give to just be able to be on my phone for an hour, you know?" He misses it. If nothing else, he has a few photos of his friends in there and of home. It'd be nice to look at them again.
"Besides work and getting drinks, no not really. Ugh. We need like a movie theater in this town." Never mind that it wouldn't work. "Or like a theater production. Something."
no subject
"Heh, well, you could start it up. Where there's a will there's a way, right? I'm sure you could get one of the eccentric upper crust to back you," he chuckled. "I'd back you with what I had. I'd at least come and see your first show for sure. You put on a great epic from your world, yeah? You'd be the talk of Thedas!"

"It's not really lying. It's telling a story, and you're being authentic to the story. You're telling someone else's truth," he reasoned, not believing Prompto at all. He seemed like just the sort that would do well in a theatre setting, he thought. He had the exuberance for it.
