WHO: Anyone who wants to come!
WHAT: Cyril plans a surprise party for Sam and Kirk
WHEN: This Saturday
WHERE: Sam and Kirk's home
NOTES: This is the party Cyril started planning here. I'm going to include two header comments for prep before the party, and for Kirk and Sam to come home so everyone can enjoy the 'Surprise!' moment, otherwise, please treat this like a normal mingle post, put in your characters enjoying the party and tag around!

Cyril was pleased with how many had wanted to help with this party. Christine had offered to distract both Kirk and Sam. Adasse had put together some tasty potatoes. Korrin had arrived to help arrange furniture to use the space better for a crowd and had brought spiced wine and sweets. Anders had helped with decorations.

They had done well, even with the food shortage, and the house smelled inviting thanks the the work of everyone coming together.

Sam blinks, looking up from the picture and stares at Prompto. "Ah... insert me understanding half of that?" he says with a crooked smile, clearly having not followed all of that. It's fine; he loves the pictures anyways.

"Cyril did huh? He does have a way with them. Thank you. It's a wonderful gift."

Siiiiigh. "Haven't found the best way of explaining it yet. Let's just say it's like having an instantaneous - or nearly so - painting done without the paint." That seems to be the best contender as far as explanations go.

"Totally welcome! And he's a good partner in crime. He's a wily one."

"I suppose that is the best way to put it without going into detail," he agrees, chuckling. He really did want to know how it worked, but he also understands from just that little bit and stuff Jim has tried to explain... there's just some stuff he's not going to get.

"I can see that. Found a way to trick us out of our own house to sneak you all in."

If it's any consolation, Sam, Prompto doesn't even entirely understand how it works. The basics, sure, but the real nitty gritty, scientific details sort of fly over his head.

"He pulled it all together pretty fast. What did he do to keep you guys out of the house while he set up and got people here?"

Oh, well, he'll feel much better about not knowing then.

"He recruited Christine, that's what he did. She had me and Jim moving around a heavy desk all day. This all makes up for the deception, but, Maker, we were starting to get grumpy." To put it nicely.

Prompto snorts. "Ouch. Yeah, I'd probably be grouchy too after awhile, especially since she probably kept telling you to move it to a different place to buy time, right?"

"Yeah, exactly that. Bless her for helping with the surprise, but... yeah, could have done without that. Arms are still a bit sore too. The company and gift is certainly worth it though." He chuckles, lifting the pictures slightly to indicate he was talking about Prompto and his gift in particular.

"Weeeeeell, it IS your birthday." Prompto grins roguishly. "You've got a boyfriend who'll probably give you a nice massage for those sore arms of yours. Something tells me Cyril would be down for doing something like that. And maybe a nice hot bath."

"Technically, it was just Jim's birthday. Mine isn't until the 16th." It was their birthday party though.

Mention of a hot bath does have Sam nodding; that did sound good. As for the massage- "I'm sure Cyril would. If Jim doesn't get to it first. Course his arms are pretty sore too."

"Ehhh close enough. It's your birthday month." Just celebrate throughout the entire month. And they're celebrating the day right now, so that's what counts at the moment. "Yeah, that's why I figured Cyril would be a better bet. Kirk's probably as sore as you are."

"Maybe more. He was quite a bit more grumpy then I. Cyril might have to help both of us in that case, though I doubt he'll mind. Shame I have to wait for the party to end though. Love having you all here, but Maker does that sound good about now."
