There are so many ill in the Inquisition, combined with the regular diseases that travel through cities in the colder months, which means he is not only a little overwhelmed, Anders doesn't see the new helper at first despite her hair standing out in the crowd. When he does catch sight, though, he comes over quickly. She's one of the Rifters; she can't possibly not be ill. And yet she's helping.

"How are you feeling?" he asks. It's not the greatest introduction, but he needs to know if she's aware of the fact that she's ill before he can know what approach to take.

Dany is sitting with a small child whose mother needed to get back to work, the little boy sleeping soundly with his hand tucked into hers. Her expression is soft, her mind wandering to her own children, so far away. She knows that in her absence her dragons will be cared for, there were those among her retinue who had grown to care for them in their own right.

When Anders speaks to her she looks up, a little surprised he's asking her, of all people, how she feels. She smiles, inclining her head.

"I feel fine. My bloodline is strong, we don't take sick easily." She was warm, but she didn't realize the heat was coming from her own body.

He smiles back gently despite his concern, keeping his voice low so as not to wake the boy.

"May I touch your forehead?" She... doesn't look completely well, but he's not going to barge into her space to confirm his suspicions. "Your ancestors might be skiving off today, I fear."

She frowns at his request, a little baffled at the idea. She's never been sick, save for when she had lost Rhaego, but that had been a cursed sickness. She was wary of healers, because of what Mirri Maz Duur did to her sun and stars, but she'd watched Anders work, since coming to the clinic. He was a good man, from what she could see. So after a moment she nods her head, gently putting the child's hand down on the blanket and standing.

"If you feel you must, but I assure you I'm quite well."

"I do," he says quietly. Later he's going to ask about her heritage that she feels she doesn't get ill; that might be an interesting study. For now, though, Anders is touching her forehead and feeling unhealthy heat.

"You're ill." His voice is still gentle. "I don't know how your immunity or the like works where you're from, but you've caught what's going around the Rifters here. Can I get you to come into the Clinic and rest? I can have one of the Clinic volunteers watch over the boy, or we can bring the boy inside to sleep near you."

Dany wants to object which is evident on her face as she purses her lips together, her brows drawn tight. She knows she hasn't slept in days though, something she's been dimly aware of, but others had needed help from her and so she had offered it. Slowly her face relaxes and she nods, glancing back towards the child.

"Bring him inside. I promised him I'd be near when he woke."

"Of course." Anders picks up the child with care, cradling him against his shoulder and following Dany in to where the cots for resting are. One of the aides scoots another cot closer so he can lay the boy down and drape the blanket from the foot of his cot over him.

"Can I get you anything? Water? Another blanket?" He doesn't expect her to want the latter, she's running a fever, but he's going to make the offer regardless. "And I'll be nearby for several hours yet."

Despite the fever and obvious rings beneath her eyes from not sleeping, Dany walked with a queen's grace into the clinic, only sitting on a cot after the boy was taken care of. She looks to Anders as he speaks to her, shaking her head.

"I do not feel ill, save your care for those who need it." Already sitting she feels restless, like she should be doing something else.

"As long as you rest." He'll allow her some denial even though he knows she's ill. No one likes being ill and so far it's just a fever and an abundance of energy, though it could turn hence the insistence on rest.

"I'll still be nearby should anything change."
