With the Rifters drifting in and out of memory, the Templar needing a near constant slow infusion of lyrium--some needing to be doped up with sleeping draughts as fast as Colin, Christine, and the others who’ve devoted their time to the pursuit can make them--and the runners moving slower and slower as they sleep less and less, it's decided that moving everyone to a more easily watchable location for care would be the best, and safest, play.

[Nahariel, Colin, Audra, and any others who remain blessedly unaffected and volunteer are headed out to wrangle you... u mad?]

II. You'll pry my room out of my cold dead hands!

They're going to try to push for it, but aren't going to force you. They do need to know where you are, especially the Rifters... who keep being forgotten just this side of entirely. Your location information is going to be taken down, and they'll continue to come visit you. This can be handwaved, or we can thread it out!

[If you'd like your poor sick bb to be dragged out kicking and screaming, go ahead and indicate that in your tag. Alternately, send me a line @ shaestorms and we can figure out how to pry you loose together. Once you're there, throw a tag to whine about it if you like!]

"I can't sleep all the time, Nelyo!" He protests with almost a laugh.

[castintoflames]

"It would do you good if you could." Maedhros smiles hopefully at the laughter, "Your body is tired, Kano."

[seawanderer]

The laughter fades. "...If I give in, I will cease to be here, Nelyo." He fears he'll become like their grandmother Miriel.

[castintoflames]

"No, you will not." his voice is firm; a command, "You will stay with me. I will be your anchor."

Fear brings out the commander in him. Miriel will be the only Elf who slumbers thus.

"I am tired," he answers stubbornly. "I sleep when I have to, and wake when I am reminded." Or when fear and dreams jerk him awake.

His anger cracks, revealing his fear beneath it. It isn't fair that he should fear it so. Hadn't he abandoned his brother in nearly the same manner?

"Please don't..."

[seawanderer]

Maglor responds to that fear with a distressed sound and he clings to his brother.

"Then do not ask me to sleep all day, I cannot bear it!"

[castintoflames]

"Kano... Kano..." he speaks a mantra, calling to his brother and trying to soothe him all at once, "Will you rest beside me? I'm tired and my head aches."

Maedhros is perhaps the only one who can manage it, though Elros is pretty good at it too. Maglor takes a shaky breath and wills himself to calm.

"I will still be here when you wake, Nelyo. Rest."

He pulls Maglor against him and kisses over his hair, a few tears rolling down his blue cheeks. His breathing evens soon enough regardless and he is sleeping deeply. One of his hands, in the midst of his slumber, buries itself in his brother's hair, holding on, reassuring himself.
