In quarantine, over by one of the walls, there is a makeshift desk, behind which is a Dwarf, his feet up, seemingly at ease with the fact that he's locked in. Behind the dwarf is something a bit more interesting. There's a black circle, seemingly hung on the wall, and through the circle are a number of small shelves, packed tightly with various items. The really strange thing is that on next to the black circle is a doorway, which leads to a hallway, that goes right behind the wall, and logically, should go straight through the room behind the desk. However it's not there.
As you approach the desk, the Dwarf perks up and gets to his feet. "Hey there! Neat stuff, eh? I figure if we're stuck here, well, may as well have something entertaining. Want to take a look at what I've got? Or maybe you've got something to sell? Hard coin for rifter artifacts! I've got someone trying to get a full set of Ids, It's a seller's market!"

The woman standing before the dwarf is very tall, and looms over him like an especially unwelcoming tower. She's tired and has hardly had a moment to herself since this flu business started, but Barnabas' reputation precedes him. Teren wants to know what he's about.

Barnabas looks back at the hole in space holding his shop. "If you want something else though, I've got lots. All kinds of weird stuff, and if you're got any rifter artifacts, I'm happy to buy em!

"New York," she repeats in a mumble, and gives it back to look over some of the others, nose wrinkled in a thoughtful sneer.
After a pause, flatly spoken, "these are horrifying."

Barnabas takes back the Id and puts it in a box. "What are you looking for? Something exciting, something interesting..."

Barnabas digs around in a box for a moment, and then pulls out a small metal cylinder with a button on the side. "Observe!" He pushes the button and a red dot appears on the floor. As he wiggles the tube, the red dot skirts around the floor, looking like a shiny red bug of some sort. "Dunno what it is, but I'll bet a cat would love chasing after this thing! Don't look down the tube when it's turned on."

Barnabas takes the light and sweeps it over the floor. "Need things lined up? Just use this to sight it in. Need to do some construction? This thing'll make it so every thing you make and place is lined up with geometric precision."

Though the contraption is interesting enough, Teren can sense when someone is trying to swindle her, and she shakes her head in disgust.
"Never mind," she scoffs, "come find me when you've got something useful, in bulk. Or wait for me to find you, but that's a might less likely." She's known amongst the Hightown merchants as infamously difficult in negotiations, and Barnabas will encounter nothing less.

Barnabas sits back in his chair. "I have items that are utterly unique in this universe. If you want bulk, you're looking in the wrong place."

Barnabas gives a wave as Teren heads off.
