The Fortress looms before them, cold stone walls protecting cold stone towers, rimmed by cold snowy hills.

It's cold, basically, and somehow manages to look even colder than it feels. The stairs upward are no longer even, crooked and bent as if some giant decided he wanted to romp his way through, and the gates are askew and slightly open.

On the approach there's little noise beyond wind whistling through, until the gate is touched and a flock of ravens bursts upward in a cackling cacophony. Beyond that it's still. Too still, perhaps.

Well now she doesn't want it. She just needed to know the option is there.
Eyeing the door, she turns back to the group.

Loghain watches her return now with slightly raised eyebrows. Better??

"Perhaps," he begins, turning his attention back towards where the spectre had been moments before, "there's been something left behind." He starts to approach the desk, though he steps carefully. Just in case the ghostly form rematerializes, or something.

The ghost form does rematerialize, but it doesn't react to Loghain. Instead it goes through the same set of motions again with no changes. They might as well not be there at all, as far as it's concerned.

Loghain is close enough to make out details of the figure's face if he wants - bald, human, wrinkled, and ancient-looking. Its gaze goes through him, unseeing.
