As you return to Kirkwall, you notice that something’s different. There seems to be a flurry of paper, with the same thing said on it, posted on every notice board, on every flat surface that can stand it, even shoved under doors. The flyer is simply printed, with a stylized drawing of a Dwarf above the text. The dwarf seems to be amazingly happy at his current status and holding a large bag of money, and seems to want to share it with you. The text reads as follows.
| Help Wanted! Attention people of Kirkwall, I am starting a new exciting business venture, the like of which has never been seen before! But in order to do this, I need your help! Are you an
Are you one of these people? Then come down to the site of the most exciting new business that Kirkwall has seen in years! Interviews start now! Bring references and list of past employers if applicable, there may be an onsite test of your skills. |
At the bottom of the notice there are directions to the new shop, a nicer part of the gallows, next door to Barnabas's original shop of Rifter Artifacts.
I. Interview - In the back part of the new shop, Barnabas sits behind his desk, the noise of construction making the interview a bit harder than normal. He sits back in his chair and gives you a winning smile. "So, I understand you're here to get on the ground floor of a great new business opportunity! I cannot wait to begin. So, lets start by telling me your name, and what you bring to the team?"

I
"What manner of ruse is this, Vilm?" Loki asks as he crosses the threshold of the door. He lingers there and, with a quirk of his brow, adds: "I assume if it were anything really interesting you'd have already come to me about it?"
Re: I
Barnabas grins up at Loki, seemingly looking forward to a bit of excitement after a long day of interviews.

"I saw the flyers, but they conveniently omitted what in the gods' names you're actually doing."

"Try it! Tastes great, even better with rum, but for now need to keep a clear head."

The beverage itself isn't bad, if a bit thick. The ice made it pleasant enough.
"Is it warm enough in the south for such things? The people here are practically mired in snow."

Barnabas sits back, looking over Loki in what seems to be the first time. "So are you interested in investing? I know for a fact you can't cook and you fucking hate people, so two of the jobs are out. You much of an enchanter? I always figured you more for the summoning kind of mage."
no subject
"I can certainly manage any small enchanting you might need. Duplicating that would take a bit of time, however."

Barnabas gets up and walks over to the other side of the room and out a door. "Over here, what I need is an enchantment on these." He gestures to a number of large metal buckets with a odd mechanical device in it. "I need that bucket to be chilled to a bit below freezing. Not too far, just a bit. And I need it to stay at that temperature. Think you can do that?"
no subject
"Well, they won't be indefinitely charged, but I can probably do something to that effect."
