The Docks - Obi-Wan
Rey is tired after the trip to Orlais and looking forward to taking a bath and sleeping in her own bed for a change. But she can't help opening her senses as she disembarks, feeling out the Force, looking for Ben. What she doesn't expect is to sense someone else, someone she had grimly accepted she would never feel again.
She stops where she stands, Padawan looking at her quizzically as she freezes, trying to zero in on where he is. Obi-Wan.
When she determines the direction she takes off running down the docks, the Force guiding her. She catches sight of him and pushes herself faster, even as her vision blurs from tears welling in her eyes. She doesn't slow down until she crashes into him, throwing her arms around him with a sob. She's been so unsure of so much lately, but she can't help the profound relief washing over her as she feels the presence of her master once again.
Open - Training yard
She's back to one lightsaber, not that she minds. It's easier to control one than two, and she's more comfortable this way. The lightsaber that she had come to think of as hers in her hand, her first line of defense against demons and whatever else stands in her way.
For the moment she's running through her forms, things she learned under Obi-Wan, and a few she'd improvised, modified from Kylo Ren's fighting style. She holds the ignited saber in front of her, sweeping it in a slow arc, pacing her breathing, before speeding up, taking herself through motions she's practiced what feels like a thousand times, now.
Her chosen training spot is a little out of the way, but the low hum of the saber usually attracts some attention.
Open - Rey's Workshop
Often in the evenings, unless Rey is working on something or wanting private time, she'll leave the door to her room open so that Padawan can come and go, and so that others who might need her services can pop in. Or just so friends can pop in. The usual organized chaos of her room stands regardless of the day, and she is usually sitting at her desk, bent over something or another.
Her current project is another series of mini trebuchets that can be used in the obstacle course, and they sit around her desk in a varied state of disarray, some fully constructed, others waiting to be finished. She will look up when someone walks in, and if it's someone she doesn't recognize her tools will go down and she'll stand, asking who they are. If it's a friend they'll just get a smile and a wave as Rey finishes whatever she's in the middle of doing. She can talk and tinker, she's good at multitasking.

"Poe?" She raises her eyebrows, before smiling, deactivating her lightsaber and walking towards him. "You came in with the new Rifters? Is anyone else from home here? Is Finn--?" It's almost too much to hope that maybe her dear friend were here too, but if Poe is here...

"Yeah, it wasn't exactly fun. I landed pretty hard plus something else landed on top of me too." He didn't have much luck that day and fighting the demons was hard too. "I didn't see Finn." But he had encountered Ren, his lips press tightly though while keeping that to himself for now. "How long have you been here for?"
no subject
"I've been here a little over a year and a half," she responds to his question, her nose scrunching briefly at the amount of time she's spent in Thedas.

Poe couldn't believe what he was hearing. It's hard for him to mask his facial expressions. He's shocked a bit in disbelief, he leans forward while giving a quick shake of his head. "That almost doesn't seem right. I believe you since you don't seem all that happy about it. But... it's a bit odd. What have you been doing for that long?"
no subject
"Time moves strangely, here. It doesn't entirely make sense but... it's possible for people to be from the same world and arrive years apart from the same moment, or arrive at the same moment years apart. I've been training and working with the Inquisition to try and seal the rifts that have opened up over Thedas. They seem like the best chance of getting home, so." She'd sort of stopped thinking about it, after a while. Getting home had taken a back seat to helping Thedas, which is almost strange to her. But with how things are now, she's not even sure if she wants to go home. It's a strange thought.

"I think I understand what you're saying." Poe does seem confused but thoughtful over what Rey had said to him. It's strange, odd at first but it made sense. Perhaps it's just another way for the Force to show up in mystery ways even here in Thedas. "If they are sealing rifts, how is that helping us if we came from them? Or do we leave differently?" He wants to believe and have hope where ever it needs to go.
no subject
"Did you meet Obi-Wan? He came through the rift the same time as you. He was here before."
no subject
"Yeah, I met him, he was closing one of the rifts when I encountered him. How long ago was he here and how long did he stay for?" He would have to ask Obi-Wan other questions.
no subject
"I don't know how long he was here before I was, but it's been a year since he'd left." She knows, almost to the day. She'd felt so alone after he disappeared. To have found some sort of belonging, a Master willing and able to teach her...

It's strange asking things out loud. Rey could be telling him the truth, he knows what's it's like to be called a mad man. Especially after wandering around the endless heat of Jakku during the daytime.
"That's a long time to be away from here and then come back. I bet a lot of things have changed." Poe is curious about the length of time. Could it be a year or longer before someone else returned here? There's a pressing of lips as he starts to appear a little more serious.
no subject
"He changed, too. The last time he was here, it was in the middle of the Clone Wars. Now... he remembers the fall of the Old Republic." Which is something surreal to say, and think. The fall of the Old Republic was something that had happened so long before she was born, she only knew what she'd heard in stories, and what little still existed on the holonet.

That's quite a time difference for them. The stories Poe heard was from Leia and whatever she had known about Obi-Wan. Luke had told her things, she shared them with Poe too. He knows about Obi-Wan's future. His expression is soft, a bit sadden by the thought. "That's a long time ago for us. I know of the story after all of that. I did want to know more about that time."

Focusing on Obi-Wan is a little easier for her. Her instinct is to protect him, even though he's someone who can absolutely take care of himself, so she squares her shoulders a little, her bottom lip pulled between her teeth briefly.
"I'd wait a bit to ask him. It's still sort of raw... Vader, and all that. I dumped a little more on him when I saw him than I meant to." She feels guilty for it, everything that Obi-Wan has been through, and she just piled on more things without thinking about it.

"I'll be sure to pick a topic that doesn't lead in that direction. Sometimes it can't be helped to tell someone everything that had happened. Did he at least tell you what you needed to hear?" He knows that Leia won't be around for him to report to. Poe would probably grow to trust someone that he could do that if needed.
