The journey through the Frostbacks is, of course, a grueling one, but only if you are traveling alone. The Inquisition scouting forces are, without a doubt, not alone. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

So clearly, new stories and new friendships or hatreds are just waiting to be written...

"What's wrong with my bosom?" He sits up straight and puffs out his chest. "Maybe after this mission, I can afford some. Do you think I'd look good in leather? Not as good as you, maybe." He gives her an appraising nod.

"Nothing, if you like a soft, manly bosum." She smirked a little, before she nodded her head, "Entirely possible. The Western Approach, I hear, is filled with things you could gather for trade."

She gives him a considering look, "You could. You have the build for it." Another snort, but this time her ears turn pink, "Although clearly you shouldn't chose them yourself. You've got questionable taste."

He gasps in mock offense and pulls his blanket tightly around himself. See if he ever shows her his bosom again. He does hope she's right, however. "There are fewer of us going. Not as much competition for the spoils."

He gives her a gentle nudge, grinning. "My taste is just fine. But I'll welcome your help picking out new clothes for me when we're both back in Skyhold."

She smirked even more broadly at his mock gasp. "Well to be honest I'm less worried about the spoils - more worried about whether or not I am going to go mad, being around that much Red Lyrium. If the next time you see me, I am talking to people who aren't there? Be a friend. Put me down."

She dipped her head, "I would be happy to - but just to warn you, I know that it is beautiful, but I am not sure if it is fashionable."

"You have my word. But let us pray it won't come to that."

He shrugs. "I don't care about that sort of thing. Look at my socks!" He pulls up a pant leg to show off a green sock with vines stitched along the hem, just visible above the top of his boot. He loves them.

"I am certainly praying hard..."

She trails off, amusement flashing through her grey eyes as he pulls up his pants to show off his socks. "Now those are fancy. Where did you get those?"

"I've had these for years. One of the apprentices back in the tower was fond of stitching, so I would do her favors in exchange for designs. Others I've picked up or traded for." He hides them away. "We all need our hobbies."

"They are very nice. I've never had socks so fine before." She gave a lopsided smile. "I suppose so. I haven't really had any myself."

"I'll get you some, if you like." He smiles back, brows pulling together. "No? None at all? What do you do to relax? For fun?"

"Normally? I hunt." She gave him a wry little smile, before she looked more thoughtful. "Walk, in the woods. Sing. I ... used to read to my sister."

[salvatore_underfoot]

"Okay. Those are good." Hunting. Walking. Singing. He probably shouldn't, but he leans in a bit, smile gone. "Used to?"

Her entire body stills, at that short little question, and her gaze goes outward to the mountains. It still hurts, every time. She can't escape that. "She died. In a battle between mages and templars, outside of Redcliffe."
