Anders 1. The Clinic
There's a pause in the regular flow of traffic, enough that Anders is free to clean some of the slates leftover from an earlier class and straighten chairs and tables, moving steadily through the Clinic and greeting people by name or nod.
Anders 2. The Gallows Herb Garden
He's not alone as he tends to the plants and gathers a few sprigs of what the Infirmary's short on. Sprawled out in the sun, belly-up, is a tuxedo cat that's half-watching everything. A bit more active is a large orange fluff of a cat that's sneaking gathered herbs out of Anders' basket and piling them off to the side whenever Anders isn't looking.
Anders 3. Infirmary
He's here as usual, healing, providing potions and medical advice. Anyone dropping by gets seen to quickly, regardless of how he might feel about them. Any Rifters, though, get an additional question.
"Does your world have equality? Or some semblance of it?"

Thor 1. Tavern
Half the taverns in Kirkwall are closed to him, Tevinter, past conflicts, all that, but that just means that he's all the more happy this one is welcoming. Thor is loud and large and in a very good mood as he drinks his ale and chats with anyone who looks like they might tolerate a conversation.
In fact, if someone, some human or dwarf, is sitting alone, Thor will come over to their table, plop down, and order them a drink on him.
Thor 2. Lowtown
"It can't cost that much," Thor says to the shopkeeper, eyes a little narrow. He has a feeling the guy is trying to rob him... but Thor hasn't spent a lot of time handling day-to-day funds and expenses before. It's all been estate stuff that he signs off on. Haggling for a rather nice-looking cloak is a new challenge, and he finds himself glancing around to see if anyone will help weigh in on the topic.
Thor 3. Gallows
Evening is falling as Thor takes a guard post by the Gallows docks, leaning against a handy bit of wall and actively watching the people coming and going.
"Nearly curfew," he calls out to what looks like a Rifter considering getting on the boat. There's no heat to his voice. In fact, it sounds a little curious. He's wondering how the Rifters are taking the recent news and if it's chafing just yet.

[Feel free to make your own prompt for Anders or Thor too if you'd like.]

"Ghast. Ghast, st--" The covers are pulled down enough to swat at the cat in question, but by then, Gareth can spot Kostos as well. Slowly, blearily, he turns from Kostos, to Anders. Then back to Kostos.
"What are you--is this the moss thing. Are we finally running away to go be moss farmers in the woods."
no subject
He glances up at the bird watching him before looking back at Gareth. "Alternately, we could help some of our people stuck eating moss. They might appreciate the break, among the other things we're bringing."
If only all mages were morning people... but they never would have stayed in Circles if they were all morning people. And he'd never have the library to himself, either.

"Get up," Kostos says, content to leave the banter to Gareth and Anders, and not content to leave Gareth behind and let him sleep. He never stops looking like he needs some fresh air, so Kostos is never going to stop trying to make him get some. Also, the outdoors are terrible, and misery loves company.
He sits down to pull his boots on, and gives Ghast a wary look in the meantime.
"He's going to eat my bird."

Also, Gareth spent years living outside of cities. He tried the fresh air. It smelled weird. Nevertheless, and despite his grumbling, he finally untangles himself from his covers—careful with his sleeves, as he doesn't sleep with the gloves and ties. He’s quick to amend that, however, throwing on proper clothes and getting his gloves and the ties for his sleeves before he even bothers to touch his hair or face.
“I’m fairly sure he doesn't eat the food of mere mortals.” Gareth shoots Ghast a look, as he fidgets with the sleeve ties. “Or mere mortal birds, for that matter. Look at him, he probably eats ghosts and ghouls.”

"We'll keep him from eating the bird. And going on a mission can better prepare them for wherever you and they wind up in the end." As in, not the Circles, because they're all people and they're not going back. "Though I'm rather certain that the cat eats regular food, and I certainly hope you've been feeding him."
The statement is light and casual; the cat looks fine so he has no doubts Gareth's been feeding it. Or it's been feeding off the pain that haunts this place, one way or the other. There's certainly more than enough of that to sustain any creature, especially one that small.
"Worst-case scenario, if the cat goes for the bird, I'll have Pawdric sit on the cat." There's a noise from the open sack on Anders' shoulder as a not-morning-cat recognizes the sound of his name and doesn't choose to make more of an appearance.

“I am not taking him into the woods.” Him is Talas. The other two can bring and potentially lose their cats if they want. That’s their business. The raven is his, and the raven panicks at loud noises and could easily fly somewhere he can’t easily be recovered from.
no subject
"He’ll be fine while I’m gone. He likes to go after the mice that hang around the food supplies. Or just go to the kitchen and look pitiful. Or maybe terrifying." He shrugs, and turns his attention to throwing the rest of the meat into a sack with a spare set of clothes.
"Should I bring anything else?" That’s directed to Kostos, as he's supposedly the scout here, and has been there before.
