[ It's well after Lucien has had the chance to bathe and dress himself as a member of society when he pays a visit to the Scoutmaster in her office. He knocks, waits to be admitted, and kisses the back of her hand at the crux of his courtly bow. ]

[ The Scoutmaster has evidently been working at the map table opposite her desk, just setting a palm-sized chunk of pale blue seaglass to pin down one corner of a scroll as Lucien enters. She permits the courtly greeting, and though she's of course already been informed of his arrival, she still arches both brows as if in mild surprise and polite skepticism at this introduction. ]

You will forgive me for asking you to prove your identity? That is a title many would like to claim.
