No. She isn't going to think about uglier possibilities yet.
The silence stretches, and Derrica doesn't know how to fill it. Just one lackluster promise sitting between them, that's all she has to offer him.
It's all he's looking to take, at the moment. With no more inclination to disrupt the silence than Derrica has, Barrow heaves a slow sigh and lets his head rest against the bars, his eyes falling closed as he listens to the muffled sounds from above.
Best not to waste their energy. At least, as far as he can tell, Derrica's animosity towards him isn't as raw as it could be. Somehow, that feels like a priority.
