I. THE MEETING
“They came back into Orzammar ranting, all twitchy-like,” he says, folding his arms. “Didn’t make a whit of sense, and could hardly say where their fellows were, but nothing about darkspawn taking them. Nothing about much at all.”
“But you thought to write Riftwatch,” Thranduil cuts in. His hands are kept in his lap; his legs, folded, to make the most of the measly amount of space they are allotted. “Requested copies of our work on red lyrium.”
“Aye,” Gedric says grimly. “What else could it be? And better to be thorough on this. Excavate the full vein of possibility.”
II. THE DEEP ROADS

“Is it much mapped, where they were? Did they wander off of course or is something encroaching toward you?”
Perhaps that's not helpfully comforting phrasing.

He asks, on the back of Jos's question, "And what do you want with the research? Your interest lies in the affected Legion or the stuff in the mine?"
no subject
"What he said," pointing to Tony, "and also how exactly do you plan to make sure we don't return like the others?"
no subject
"We've got maps. Legion'll have them too, if you manage to find the missing ones." He takes a moment before he answers Tony and Edgard, his fingers drumming on the stone table. He sneaks a look at Thranduil, then addresses Tony.
"There's red lyrium down there. Know that from your work," he says. "I want to know how much. You folk know how to handle it, get in, get out. You handle that, and my caste, at least, will be grateful. It'll keep mining going."

With nothing left to say that isn't going to cast doubt on them in front of the person expecting their aid, Joselyn holds her peace.
