Amos realizes belatedly that 'from around here' meaning 'this planet' to a civilization that apparently hasn't managed air travel yet is just layers upon layers of wrong. Some part of his mind needs to go back to Baltimore to survive this place, and he keeps rejecting it, unsure why.

That's to fuck around with later. For now, he plays along... or does his best approximation of it. "They fish in Orlais?"

Edgard makes a face. This man isn't from around here.

"Yes. They fish everywhere there's water, I think."

He shakes his head.

"Edgard, by the way."

[innerharbor]

"Huh? Oh. Amos." A cheerful grin that doesn't reach his eyes. "Shit. I gotta figure out how to fish. You know how?"

Edgard shrugs and wavers his hand.

"Mostly watched others do it. Rivers and ponds though, not the ocean. Pretty alright with a net or a knife though. Why? You hungry?"

"Nah." Amos looks out at the water, his back turned to Edgard. He hasn't really gotten the whole 'hide your shard' thing yet, and pulls up his sleeves to reach into the water. The green glow in his elbow is easily seen. "Thinkin' about shit I ought'a know."

Edgard notices the shard in his elbow. That explains a lot.

"Ah, you aren't from around here." He says motioning to it. "Edgard. Also, Riftwatch. But, not a rifter."

He waves his hands and arms a little as if to prove it.
