Edgard sputters at that information and inches away from the stupid perfectly bred foot.

"Breeding?" He scoffs, but he's getting out of bed. "You really do come from rich people, don't you?"

Edgard shakes his head.

[altusimperius]

"Yeah," Bene mumbles, and rolls his eyes, at least glad to see that Edgard is taking the hint.

"Is it that hard to believe?"

[muckspout]

"Not at all." He says evenly. "More surprised I didn't figure it out sooner." He pulls on some pants and shrugs. "Probably because I don't hate you."

[altusimperius]

"Well that's reassuring."

With this all settled, Benedict has returned to being aloof, and tosses his hair as he glances over his shoulder at Edgard-- it's not like he cares or anything, geeze.

"Do you need a kick in the arse, or can we go about our days now?"

[muckspout]

"Reassuring?" Edgard grimaces. He can't imagine wanting to be seen as a rich person.

"I can kick my own arse, thanks." He throws on his shirt. Today he probably will.

[altusimperius]

"Good. I have work to do."

Benedict tosses his hair, preening for a moment before he makes his way toward the door.

"Have a good birthday," he calls primly over his shoulder. That's right, now that he knows, you don't get to forget.

Edgard makes a grumpy noise in response. It kind of sounds like a thank you. He will not forget, that is the entire problem.
