She's fast but so is Erik; he does a little dodge-block combo that has him redirecting her reach just outside of his shoulder. He hadn't expected her to move so quickly, to be honest, but years of training and a hesitance to be the first one 'tapped' kicked into gear at just the last minute.
He's not as well-trained as she is, however, and she's got years and years (one imagines) on him in the practical study, so eventually, she's going to get him.
It's hardly a surprise. Even among the Justice League, there are very few with training experience similar to an Amazon born. It doesn't make the spar any less enjoyable. When she does inevitably land a tap, she backs off a little with a smile.
"You fight well," she says, an earnest compliment. She's breathing harder than she would be in her world, her resilience impressive but not as endless as it normally is. It feels good, in it's own way.
"Thanks. You fight like a fuckin' pro, it's... something else, really." He shakes his head, panting. She could've wiped the floor with his entire JSOC unit, he's sure, especially since she still got him even after the Heart-Shaped Herb and whatever arriving in Thedas had done to limit those powers. "Wanna make this a regular thing? Keep each other honest and in shape." There's no gyms here, he's had to do what he can to make sure he doesn't get any weaker just because he's in a different place.
"I am in a sense," she says, thoughtfully, "I've fought a great deal in my life." And his offer has her beaming again, "Of course, Erik! I would love that." It eases the ache of homesickness for the Justice League a little.
"Same, but you fuckin' owned that fight." Which means maybe her life has been longer than his, or maybe it means she started training as an actual child and not just as a young adult as he did. "Cool. OKay. Mornings, then, like... I dunno, three times a week?"
That way they probably won't overdo it, right? Right.
