"Bitter herbs mostly, little bit of elfroot to ease pain. I take it when I got long rounds and vigils. Works good for fatigue, but it tastes horrible." Which is clearly what the berries are for. "Don't know if it helps any with magic drain, but I figured Colin has you lot covered for that."

"I've some lyrium with me," Marcus confirms, as he unscrews the vial. He holds it under his nose, confirming that faint scent of elfroot in the rest of the herby mixture. His mouth twitches with a small measure of reluctance, but takes his medicine in the end.

Wow, that texture could be improved. He twists some of the leaves off one of the small strawberries. "Do you know your poisons as well as your potions?"

It's probably an innocently meant question, but still, old habits. She folds her arms and stares up at him, chin tilted a little in half a challenge.

"Depends who's asking."

"Me," Marcus says, not impatiently.

He then palms a strawberry into his mouth, and considers her question, and his answer, and then amends it by adding, "But it would be better of me to say I'm inquiring more as to antidotes, more than poisons. If there is some concoction that could counter magebane."

The first gets an unimpressed huff. The amendment has her tipping her head and looking thoughtful.

"My alchemic knowledge is mostly based on midwifery," she says, "Most things to do with magic are banned by the Chantry and I reckon something like that'd be especially so." Which is really more of an inconvenience than a reason to stop speculating: "If I needed to treat a patient for poisoning, I'd try charcoal or something similar to get the bile out of 'em. But magebane ain't a poison in the strictest sense-" She trails off muttering for a few moments, digging out a small field journal from her pockets to flip thru.

"Has anyone ever tried dosing with lyrium?" is what the muttering resolves into.
