"I can understand the appeal of a pet. They're like...a companion that you always have around. But they do take up a lot of time. I mean, you have to feed them and train them and entertain them...They're like children, but they never grow up." She gave a little snort, shrugging. "Still. They're a lot less judgmental than people are. Love you even you are kind of a loser."

She thinks on Korrin's turn for a moment, before taking a drink. "It was one time. I don't usually get that drunk. It was a bad day." She makes a face. "The hangover cure helped the hangover, but not the day. It tastes vile."

Her turn took some deliberating, still determined to keep from using any of the obvious options. "I've never used a sword." Korrin was a mage, of course, but she was a mercenary, and she seemed to have enough strength to be able to use a sword if she felt like it.

"Is it true that he uses actual boiled nug brains in it? Nevermind, I don't want to know just in case I'm desperate enough to need it one day. Maker forbid." Getting drunk to that level rarely happens with Korrin, mostly because it takes a lot in the way of human brews to get her truly intoxicated. Even the amount that would get most well and truly drunk is just a pleasant buzz to her.

Korrin takes a sip again, nodding. "Just enough to familiarize myself with it, when I was still trying to decide what kind of mercenary I wanted to be when I grew up. But I was far better with a bow. If blasting things with lightning hadn't suddenly become an option, that's probably the path I would've picked.

I never defaced a monument that could easily be seen by the public."

"Ah, a bow? I knew you were a woman of good taste, Korrin." Beleth grinned cheerfully, reaching over to nudge her playfully. "Although...I would have chosen to blast things with lightning if I could have, too." An edge of wistfulness crept into her voice, but she shrugged it off, still smiling. Wishing certainly wasn't going to make her suddenly able to summon lightning.

She blinked at Korrin for a few moments, then slowly shook her head. "I don't think I've even been near any public monuments. Unless something in Skyhold might count? Well, I've never defaced a monument that couldn't be easily seen by the public, either." She was kind of curious if Korrin's specific wording was on purpose, or not. Might as well give it a shot.

Yeah, it was rather specific but Korrin takes a drink without any regret. "There was some snooty Orlesian noble who gave us a demanding job but didn't pay nearly enough to compensate us for it. When we tried to adjust that, he threatened to have us arrested on some trumped-up charges through his connections. So, we left...sort of. A few of us went back and took a liking to that monument of some ancestor that he kept bragging about. And by that, I mean we blew its fucking head off. His servents hated cleaning the damned thing, so they showed their approval by not telling on us. Nope, must have been some random bandits or an act of the Maker.

Hmm...I never climbed somewhere that I couldn't get down from on my own." Fade Step totally counts for this, so she thinks.

"He sounds like a tool." Beleth replies, shaking her head with an amused smile on her face. That sounded...pretty hilarious, really. And that the ass had it coming. If only Beleth could have seen the look on the guy's face--or managed to capture it for Korrin and her crew.

She drinks at that, smile turning sheepish. "I guess it counts when you're a kid, right? It hasn't really happened recently, but when I was learning, there were Incidents." And now the smile turns nostalgic, eyes cast down on her mug. "...Gavin helped me learn how to climb, actually, and he was the one who had to rescue me, most of the time. Luckily, I was small enough then, he could just pluck me out of the tree."

Of course, if it happened nowadays, half of Skyhold could probably pluck her out of the tree, if necessary.

"Never have I ever...been an only child." Okay, this might be cheating a little, because Korrin never mentioned a sibling, but Beleth was curious.

Korrin chuckles at mention of incidents, hands cupping her mug though she doesn't drink before Beleth's 'I never's bid her to do so. "Considering how I met Gavin, that seems nothing short of incredibly ironic. He's the one to need rescuing more than the other way around. But I'm not surprised he had a hand your skills, either."

At least Beleth doesn't seem to need the help, but if she ever does, there will be a qunari-shaped landing pillow. Korrin can take it, honest.

And it's her turn to drink. "Thank the Maker for that. I didn't need younger siblings to babysit; my parents could be handfuls just on their own. Sometimes it felt like I was raising them instead of the other way around. That's what you get when they leave the Qun young and had to learn to live outside it from the ground up. They had me relatively young, too, which probably didn't help.

I never really rebelled against my parents. Didn't have to, since they let me do whatever I wanted."
