pre-flight checklist;
Adrasteia arrives in riding gear different from her usual fare; no robes today, this is all about pants and a loose tunic belted across her waist with several flasks at the ready. She puts more on the table that she and everyone else volunteering for this little experiment have gathered around — mostly they are strong healing potions but there are two other flasks present as well, with little icon labels around the necks indicating which is which (though the fact that Antivan Fire is red and visible through the frosted glass of the flask might help as well).
"Alright," Adrasteia states, rubbing her hands together. "When we're in the air I am going to try and find us a good clear landing spot where we can put the Provost's little experiment to practice. I'll try it out first; that way if something happens or it doesn't work correctly we'll know about it, and if it goes very wrong someone can stay with me while someone else comes back here and gets help. Everyone take three flasks, one of each; hopefully this way we won't have to go back at all, but I like planning for contingencies either way."
She pulls out the gauntlets from a pack bag at her feet. "I've tried these in my room and so far they've worked fine, but it's the 'not getting hurt when falling out of the sky part' I want to make sure functions properly.
Any questions before we mount up?"

It also means it's not something Abby will likely be anywhere near.
As indicated, she takes up the flasks, opening her cloak to slip them into the basic potions belt she's been assigned, and pauses to pull back her hair.
"If we don't end up using the potions, can we keep 'em?"

Fashionably??? Late? (Sorry)
"Have a question," He says lightly. "What is this experiment? What are these?"
Edgard will not endanger the others and least of all, Sunbeam.

Ellie takes the ribbon with a blink, but uses it -- she's got a hair tie but this is much fancier. She still hasn't quite got the knack for it despite Wysteria's instruction, but she manages a lopsided sort of bow and hopes she won't lose it.
Edgard is out here asking the real questions, though.

What we're testing today is like a... large frame? For gliding on. Here." She hauls a bag onto the tabletop and pulls out some sort of apparatus that is clearly meant to be worn over the chest, shoulders, and back. "It looks like large wings when it's out. There's an enchantment on it, which means it should cushion rough landings and block projectiles. I want to see if it'll work, first of all, and then I want to see what they can do together.
Does that make sense?"

"What are we putting the wings on?"
He asks the question at a whisper both terrified and excited. "us?"

shows up late with starbucks
She does think about the first day she met him, and trying very hard not to be won over by sledding. This is probably going to be great, actually. Probably he'd have stopped her when he heard she was going to be involved if he wasn't confident about the test.
“As trust fall exercises go,” she says, “it's a doozy.” This is not said without enthusiasm.

Adrasteia smiles at the assembled friends.
"Sound good to everyone?"
toss me that latte
"Sounds like a breeze."
He trusts these people. Right? He gives Joselyn and Butterball a gruff nod since he knows them the least well.
