The warning is understood, but the thing is, any member of Riftwatch would be able to say the same as far as Derrica knows. Yes, there are exceptions, but isn't there always something worse nipping at their heels? They are all of them carrying some kind of burden. How it manifests may be just as ugly as whatever Abby imagines.

And Derrica can imagine some part of it.
