"I have done my share of gardening. I have dwelled in Chantry where it was a necessity, for our communities as well as to feed ourselves."

Some approval inherent in this, for the idea of a shared space tended to by those within the organization who valued it.

"It was a duty, but one we took pleasure in," she relays, lifting her cup to sip. "I admit, I am surprised to see greenery here, flourishing."

"Are you?" Teasing, now, "Do you think we're too busy doing other things?"

Perhaps she thinks of Riftwatch as warmongering, too busy training in the mud to bother with tending to plants. Gela smiles, and lifts her own cup. "We need things that are relaxing and enjoyable too."

"You are a small order, and I was given to understand you are kept very busy in your work."

No particular judgement in this. It is a fact. Riftwatch is relatively small, more so when set against the vast numbers of the Chantry. That must take a toll on how much time they have for life's smaller pleasures.

"What sort of work are you balancing so carefully with the maintenance of your lovely garden?"

Ah yes, they've come to the most coveted information already. Gela allows herself to have one more fortifying sip of tea before she lowers her cup to answer.

"Well," she starts, "You know that I belong to the Diplomacy division. And I'm sure you heard about the events that happened out at Starkhaven – I have had my hands full organising aid for the refugees that survived.

That is most of the work, presently."
