[Open] Rise Up, Rise Up.

WHO: Katniss Everdeen and Yours
WHAT: Falling, and climbing back up again. In many ways
WHEN: Rest of Wintermarch
WHERE: The stables, the ramparts, the staircases, the healing tents.
NOTES: It's Katniss. You know there's going to be something.

Katniss has been taking all her lessons seriously, but the ones she had been working on most were the rogue lessons - lessons in climbing and sneaking in and out of places. Knife throwing into all kinds of targets. Climbing up and down buildings, and quite literally falling off of them.

No one was quite sure what she was training so hard for -- but then most of them had not been to the Emprise du Lion. They had not seen the cages. Katniss was not going to throw away their only chance to save those people, so whatever she needed to know? She would do.

So don't be surprised if she drops in on you, as she falls back into piles of hay or down in a leap.

"I'm sure she is capable, but with the Divine gone, rifts opening up, and the Inquisition working so much with Orlais and other sources he might be hard pressed. Or worse the other countries would not sit well with him having control of a control and a huge army that isn't associated to any one group."

"Well, all you've really told me at this point is that we're screwed, Garris." Katniss said dryly. "I could have heard that a million times over from the Chantry."

"I'm just saying that everyone thinks those three are the only ones that could save our butts. All of them were nobody's before they became something. Too many people are looking for what we can't find. There are others who are probably just as capable if given the chance."

Katniss paused, before she tilted her head a little to the side. "All right, you make a valid point. Enough people coming from nothing, around here, we might all turn into something amazing."

"Well the lot of people who have come together have already made the Inquisition. That's something right there," he points out, yanking another arrow free. After inspecting it to see if it was still good. "Just have to see where this all goes. It's already made a difference in Emprise du Lion."

Katniss wiggled another arrow free, looking at it carefully, before slipping it back into her quiver. "I hope so. I suppose we won't really know until we're finished with all the clean-up."

"Would help if their own country helped out," he mutters a bit grumpily. Hey, he was all for helping out, and he got that the nations might not have the best way to deal with rifts, but come on. At least they could send in support after they had done all the heavy work.

"It would help, but who knows? Maybe this will be the impetus to get the attention of Empress Celine." She shrugged her shoulders. "All I know is, we helped good people."

Because all the other stuff wasn't enough? Garris sighs and shrugs his shoulders as well. "That is a very good point. We did. Hopefully they can still live out there, what with all that red lyrium."

What can Katniss tell you, Garris? Nobles. Sheeesh. "Well currently they're all living in the tent city below us. We got permission to move all the refugees here until we could destroy all the red lyrium. Or at least enough of it that it's livable."

"Well that's going to be a feat and a half. The stuff drives you nuts if you're around it too long. Can't imagine what touching is like." Well good to know that something is being done about it. Granted living in tents isn't fun, but he supposes the weather up here is better than it is in Emprise.

"I can't either -- and I don't want to. So let's hope we can get it all cleared out." Katniss stated firmly, before she let out a sigh. "Corypheus is just bringing home all the pain and misery he can. I for one can't wait to put one arrow in his eye, if I have the honor."

"There is honestly going to be a line of people wanting to get a piece of that guy, but I agree. Setting an arrow, or three, in him would be most satisfying." Garris grunts as he yanks out a couple more arrows, before giving his own sigh. "It will be nice to get back to some normalcy after all this."

"Well, as long as we don't break these arrows -- I call first dibs on his eyes." Katniss stated with a completely straight face.

"Alright, deal. If you manage to keep these arrows I'll let you have dibs on those eyes of his." Course that didn't include anyone else going for them, but eh technicalities.

"You're on." Katniss stated, sticking out her hand to shake on it. Oh certainly they could all die tomorrow making this invalid - but one had to hope. Hope they would live long enough to fill that damned thing full of arrows.

Garris reaches out and shakes Katniss' hand before reaching into his belt and grabbing a knife. Turning it over in his hand he offers it to her. "Mark'em so we know which ones?" He doesn't have to say anything about cheating right?

"You've got it." She takes her knife, and marks her arrow with her initials. Then she handed it over to the other man, so he could mark his own.

He chuckles. "Isn't the bet if you manage to keep the arrow that you get dibs?" He'll mark his arrow if needed, but he does like being an ass.

"Well, I know I'll hang onto mine. How do we know if you'll hold onto yours?" She asked innocently.

Well he wasn't the one calling dibs. "I know myself. I'll hold onto it as well - it'll be off to the side in my tent until I feel a day has come. But if it makes you feel better I'll mark it as well." Which he does with a simple flick of the wrist. "There."

That was true - but hey, whomever got the creature in the eyeball would want credit. Now they know whose arrows are whose.

"Good enough."

"Good enough will have to do." Giving the arrow a spin in his hands, Garris then sets it into his quiver. "Up for getting a bite to eat?"

"Hah!" She smirked at him, as she finished putting her arrows away. "Garris, one thing you are going to learn about me. I can always eat."

"You sound like a Warden. They seem to pack away food also. Alright, let's go see just how much you eat." He slips his bow over his shoulder then and gestures for Katniss to join him towards the great hall.
