"It's been a troubling couple of years," he replies, writing a few more words on his journal before he sets it aside - he can always finish it up later. "But I'm glad to see that you're well too." It did make him feel better, knowing that the people he had treat were still alright out there. In a way it made him feel accomplished for what he was doing, like what he was doing truly mattered. It was reassuring, if anything else.
i'm so sorry, this got totally lost in my tabs
"Oh yeah. Been real easy going, now I know I'm allergic to steel." At least, when it's injected at high speeds by an uncommon big kind of needle. Most folks are allergic to that. "What brought you out all this way? If it ain't overstepping to inquire."
What in the great black void is a half-shady sawbones doing in the middle of Inquisition ranks? Melys figures that's a pretty easy question to turn right back around on her, but that doesn't mean it's not worth the asking.
"Figured you could find steady work just about anywhere."
s'cool! i've been busy and sick at the same time haha
"I simply felt that it would be the best to help out here, considering how things in Thedas are right now." What with the explosion at the Conclave, and the countless people affected by all the infighting that was going on - be in Orlais or the struggle between Templars and mages - there was always going to be people who needed help. And being part of an organization that was dedicated to reaching out to aid these same people... it seemed only natural for him to be part of it. Even if he was well aware of how dangerous it could be as well. But his own safety was secondary to what was important, especially in a time like this.
