[This isn't the first meeting Barrow has arranged, and it carries all his usual hallmarks: a plate of cookies, a decanter of decent whiskey. Creature comforts for uncomfortable conversations. It's bound to be at least slightly less awkward than the one he held with Flint and Rowntree, in part because there are people here who actually know how to talk like human beings, but otherwise Maker only knows what one can expect.]
So, [he clears his throat after everyone's settled in,] here we are. Had some news from over in Scouting, thought it useful to share.
[He nods amiably at Bastien. The floor is yours.]

(He had not forgotten. But he doesn't for one moment intend to let anyone else forget that he is cheerfully unambitious and nobody's boss.) ]
Right, [ on the tail end of gulping down his mouthful. ] Andor. He picked up some information. Corypheus is doing something in the Anderfels this month, or around there. It sounds like a small contingent for something secretive. We might be able to spot them from the air out there, with all the trees dead, non? We should at least try to find out what they are up to, but if his entourage is small enough it could also be an opportunity.

[ steve's reading the report as quickly as he can (pretty quickly) before looking up to offer it to anyone else who wants to read it. ]
Something about a cauldron, and Warden secrets there. Timeline's rough, he could be heading there tomorrow or two weeks from now. We've got a couple Wardens, right? Could they know anything about this cauldron?

[ He reaches over to break off a chunk of Bastien's cookie, which he nibbles from his position braced against the wall. He hasn't sat the entire time he's been in here - possibly anxious that if he does, he might not be able to get away quick enough if someone threatens him with responsibilities. ]
They're a secretive bunch. Which is, of course, fine, because it's not as though we depend upon their knowledge for our continued survival or anything of the sort, and there's never been any threat that they'll be wiped out.

Griffon-riders via the Hunterhorns lodge to scope it out, see what we can see? And then the Hossberg eluvian is near enough to this location, if we decide it’s worth sending a proper sortie.

[A girl can hope.]
But yeah, I think some scouting seems reasonable, if we think it's not too much of a risk. I don't love the idea of sending a team in fully blind, even if we do get some Warden background.

Not enough to call it a full deployment if we wanted to, but I can take my dracolisk, as well.

[ sorry everyone, steve is used to being in charge, it's kind of his thing. ]

I can do that. Three of us but two mounts, preferably. ( fewer chances to be spotted. )
