I'm headed straight for the castle [OPEN]

WHO: Velanna and you!
WHAT: Tiny Warden mage arrives at Skyhold
WHEN: Guardian 20ish
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: You can check her info post for stuff or hit me up via PM or plurk if you want to hash out past CR!

Velanna arrives at Skyhold among a small mixed group of humans, elves, and dwarves. She is in part defense for the people who are simply refugees that she encountered upon the road. While it's peculiar to her that they aren't entirely uncomfortable traveling with a mage in their midst she has learned that some things she just shouldn't poke at. Her Grey Warden attire makes her stick out among the motley crew, moreso than her vallaslin. She smiles a little thinly at jokes one of the dwarves make as they go about unpacking things from their wagon, before dismissing herself and walking away from the group, leaving them to their own devices.

Because she'd come to Skyhold for a reason. She intended to help with the tears in the Fade, and had heard there were mages gathered in this place, so she begins to move through the courtyard, intent on seeking out anyone who can point her to where she can help fix this mess that the shemlen clearly created.

Korrin nods, sympathetic to that nonsense. "I've spent my life doing the same, at least until now. I've never heard of a Vashoth in a Circle, but who wants to be the first one?" And it's not strictly a mage thing, but Velanna should probably know about what else has happened in 'recent' times, since it's contributed to the tense atmosphere around Skyhold.

"We've also had an incident where a Dalish mage, with one of those shards imbedded in her chest, opened up a rift in Skyhold. She didn't do this intentionally and it nearly killed her, but it's made people wary of all shardbearers and rifters alike. We still don't know how or why it happened, and she doesn't seem to remember, herself."

There's a moment before she can answer that question, and it's because Korrin's trying to keep her voice calm. But the subject is a difficult one and the Dalish mage a friend, so she might be forgiven if it there's a slight waver that she can't completely hide. "The entire incident nearly killed her and she's been mostly unconscious for the past several weeks. Even now that she's able to sit up and speak with others, she's still extremely weak. I don't know if she'll ever be the same as she was before. No one does."

"It's new to everyone, but admittedly some have studied it more closely than I have. Sometimes too closely. There's a Circle mage in the courtyard who made it her goal to learn as much as she could about rifts and rift magic. She calls herself Your Trainer because she can't remember her own name thanks to whatever happened to gain her that knowledge. People are trying to learn about them in a safer manner, though it's slower going."

Korrin nods, glad to see that Velanna understands the gravity of the situation. "If there's anyone else who would know, it'd be the elven apostate Solas. He seemed to know a lot about the Fade, the Veil and that mark on the Herald's hand. But no one's seen him since he guided us to Skyhold. I hope that means he's searching for something that would help us...."
