[open] how sweet is the day, I'm craving a darkness

WHO: Teren von Skraedder and you! Especially other Wardens!
WHAT: Faffing about Skyhold (and meeting up with Benny)
WHEN: late Guardian
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: come meet your new mom

The Herald's Rest

As she orients herself to Skyhold, Teren spends a lot of her downtime in the Herald's Rest, having a drink and a meal or just sitting quietly and listening to the music and talk of the keep. She's a dour creature, but wears her warden blues to indicate her position and is open enough to friendly (or unfriendly) conversation.

Wherever

She can be anywhere you need her. Bonus if your character is doing something stupid that she can grump at them about.

[Closed to Benevenuta]

At an hour many would consider indecent, Teren knocks against the door she knows to belong to the resident Thevenet. In one spindly hand is concealed a tiny missive, dictating her purpose for being here.

"How can you tell?" Kaidan quipped, giving her a small smile. "I know. It was the blue in the armor, wasn't it? You can tell me. I haven't seen you around Skyhold before." Meaning - who are you, and where have you come from?

"I'm Senior Warden Kaidan Alenko."

"You would be surprised," he said in a low voice, and shook his head a little. He clasped her arm in return. "You have had a long journey then. What brings you to Skyhold?"

"Probably just as well you didn't go into the Approach," Kaidan said seriously. "It's not the friendliest of places right now. And you heard right. Have you ever heard of Corypheus?"

Kaidan looked around the bar, making sure that he wasn't overheard at all. It wasn't general knowledge yet - it was something the Wardens were holding onto. "We think he is responsible for the False Calling - and the hole in the sky."

"Ah. That's a long and complicated story, which unfortunately links into our own history." And in retrospect, he was ashamed of that part, even though he understood the reasoning of why it had to happen. But he went on to explain Corypheus' part in things, and where things stood with the Wardens, though that was an unhappier explanation.

"As much as we can. Those of us who are here have entreated the Inquisition for help - we are not up to strength enough to take on the hoardes who have lined up against us." No. Less than a dozen of them did not make it easy, no matter how capable they were.

"To be fair, the Inquisition has been spread thin. It's expanded far faster than they expected." He gave a long sigh. "But I get the feeling we have been ignored to an extent, yes."

"Well, with the numbers we are getting, I'm sure it is only a matter of time," he said with a little chuckle. "It would be nice not to rely on the Inquisition, for all the good they are doing elsewhere."

He nodded in return. "That's all we can all do. Especially the looking for things for our advantage. Most of us have been helping the Inquisition, in part for something to do, but certainly to try and win goodwill."
