It doesn't really rain here. The skies are blue and the sun is glaring, the sands shifting only when a merciful breeze blazes through, which isn't often. It's hardest on Team D, which has no shade or shelter. The other two teams are tucked away in the shadows, impossible to see as Erimond's party enters the gorge.
They had seen the demons from afar, Nathaniel peering through a spyglass. There are eight of them, each bound to a mage, and Nathaniel has chosen to continue with the plan, though he has urged everyone not to try to fight, only to push through with the plan as-is and get out. They are all very much outnumbered, but all they need to do is take one man.
So stay hydrated and move quickly, team. Anything can happen in the next few minutes.
[OOC: I will tag into each team thread as the action reaches each team. Feel free to mingle on team threads before then and react to the action in other threads. Also, please start your own threads for travel mingling, if you want that sort of thing. This will keep everything organized for everyone's AC purposes.]

His exhale is part sigh, part laugh. ]
You ought to tell me. Find yourself healing back your own fingers regularly, nowadays?
[ Eyes closing in bridled wince, Dorian sets about parting his robe a little further. Whatever spell hit him had emulated that of a blade, piercing past his light armor and whatever magical defensive he'd managed to erect, cleaving a clean slice into where his shoulder met his chest. ]

[He circles around to Dorian's front, taking exhale and the movement of robe as permission to come closer. Bleeding again, or still. Either way, it's not a pretty situation. Unlike the man before him, but Anders keeps that thought pushed to the back of his mind as he lifts his already-glowing hand to take a deeper look.]
I've done it once, put fingers back on, but it had just happened, I was right there, and they were never as effective as before, never fully healed. Mm. I've good news and bad news, which would you like to hear first?
[Dorian gets a flash of a half-smile before Anders starts to work at stopping the bleeding first off.]

Descriptions as to parts being never fully healed get a bland, flat look, but it ripples with discomfort as he feels magic beginning to work inside him, stemming the flow of blood. That it's a magically induced injury may issue complications, but at least the spellwork was one of blunt trauma and not a curse. ]
Bad, then good. Lets end on a high note, unless it's assurance I will in fact ever play the lute again.

[It's always a good sign when the patient is joking around. It means they have energy. ...Or at least haven't given up, but Dorian's not in so bad a state that Anders has to worry about that.]
The bad news is that in a few moments, this will hurt some. Whatever spell they hit you with did some tearing I don't often see, and while I can fix it, it won't be the most easy healing you've ever had. The good news is I don't believe I'll be leaving any scars.
[His gaze shifts up to Dorian's face as some amusement plays over his own.]
You strike me as the sort who would find that important. Which is no judgment. I would prefer to avoid facial scars myself.

Anders is free to take it personally when he says, shortly; ]
The status quo at current is no picnic, either, I assure you -- pray get on with it.
[ But perhaps that's more to do with pain than the fact Anders is Anders, the Abomination, who sneaked into his (yes his) Inquisition and lied to his friends. Or both, Dorian can multitask too. ]

[He's working, voice gentle. Pain is pain. No one does well while in it, and he knows this well from being on both sides.]
Their spells... I want to know if they've found some old, forgotten tomes, or if they're learning from the demons. One has appeal. The other most certainly doesn't. Much like the prospect of a healer who isn't working.
[The teasing is deliberately light. He doesn't know much about Dorian yet. What he knows is the man is hurt, and Anders is working on closing the wounds and dealing with the damage. He can't exactly focus on any further issues right now, just on talking to keep the other mage at ease as he works.]
But believe me, you don't want me to rush the task. Otherwise... Otherwise we can ignore the good news.
