Teren can be found at a large corner table in the Herald's Rest, where she has set up an impromptu workshop for those who can't afford or would prefer not to use the Orlesian tailors.

She is also making house calls for those who request them. (Just put it in your starter!)

"Ruffled, with longer cuffs, open in the front, and...might be easier if I show you, actually."

To be honest, he isn't sure if there was anything around here like what he has in mind. While there are some things about Starkhaven that seem to be similar to things back home, he's gotten the idea the clothing might not be the same - and as a result, he's put together a sketch with the outfit he has in mind. All he needs to do was get it for her, and it only takes a couple of seconds for him to pull the folded piece of parchment from his sporran and spread it out on the table. While he isn't necessarily the best artist, he does remember quite well what he wanted looks like, and he's taken the time to sketch both the jacket and shirt separately, along with a rough approximation of what the whole thing looks like together.

"I've already got my kilt, as you can see, and I've a cloak and a pin I can use for the plaid here. So all I'd need is the shirt, the jacket, and the baldric, and I think I know where I can get ahold of the baldric so I'd not need that made. Is that a good enough reference go off of?"

Teren takes the parchment and looks it over, pursing her lips in thought. It's not as ridiculous as she'd imagined, having done pieces for other Rifters with much weirder requests. It's almost Orlesian, in a way. "Yes, I think I can manage it," she decides, "I'll just need to take your measurements."

Some of it might be, but that part hasn't actually occurred to him. Then again, he has yet to get a proper exposure to Orlesian fashion, so maybe that's not a surprise. All he knows is that it's something that'll be from home - well, in a round about sort of way - and that if he's going to sit through an evening playing nice with the local nobles, he'll feel much better doing so in something he's comfortable in. As a result, Teren gets flashed a broad, rather pleased smile before he winds up glancing around the tavern a little more thoughtfully.

"Aye, that's probably a good idea. Were you thinking of doing them here, then? Seems a bit open, but if it's only a shirt..."

"Yes, I'm afraid I don't have a private enclosure," she says, perhaps with a hint of mocking in her tone, but she snatches up her tape measure and stands to begin nonetheless. "Hold still, arms out at your sides like this." She directs them into a T-shape. Assuming he does as instructed, it takes less than a minute for her to take the measurements and commit them to memory long enough to scribble them down on parchment on the table.

"That'll be all then?" she asks, taking a seat once more.

That hint of mocking gets him pulling a bit of a face in return, but so long as she isn't having him strip, he's can deal with it - and when she directs him to putting his arms out into that T-shape he does so without commenting. She's very efficient, though, and things get finished fast enough that any hint of grumpiness has long since vanished by the time she's done. And when she takes a seat, he gives her a small, but genuine smile.

"Only if you'd not want me thanking you for being willing to have a go at this. I'd thought for sure I'd have to try and explain this to those Orlesian tailors, and I daresay they'd not be half as willing to try this as you are."

"No need to thank me," Teren gruffly assures him, pulling back her measuring tape and beginning to jot down Jamie's proportions. "Any business I can take from an Orlesian is indeed pleasure." Not that she... seemed to be that pleased, but perhaps this was just how she was.
"Your name?"

While it's true that she doesn't seem to be the most cheerful sort, Jamie isn't particularly bothered by that. There's been plenty of times where he's been grumpy or cranky, and he's not about to get offended by running into someone who's more on the taciturn side. If she's willing to do his commission, he's happy enough, and when she asks for his name he's quick enough to pipe up with it.

"Jamie McCrimmon. Ah, let me know if you need me to spell that or anything. Oh, and how you'd like to handle the payment."

"McCrimmon," Teren sounds out, and ultimately spells it like 'Mac Crimmun' on her notes, but as long as she remembers it's him, it'll be fine.

"You can pay me on your first fitting," she replies, a bit absently, already beginning to go over the things she's written.

He's not the greatest speller himself, and tends to go with what works. As long as she knows who he is, however she wants to put his name down on her notes is fine by him - as is paying during his first fitting.

"Alright, then. I'll have the money. Do you want to set that up now, or would you prefer to let me know by that crystal thing so I can let you get back to work?"

"I'll let you know by crystal," Teren decides, "thanks for your business."

"Fair enough."

Work it was, it seems, and that's fine with him. He nods briefly and turns to go - but just a moment, before he winds up leaving, he turns back and gives her a brief smile.

"Thank you for doing this, though. Talk with you later."

And with that he heads off, letting her get back to what she needs to do.
