Skyhold is rarely peaceful or quiet, not in any meaningful way but like pristine glass, tis shattered in the early hours. Morrigan can be seen heading from her rooms towards the back of Skyhold before she is suddenly gone, a few of the more loose-lipped scouts gossiping about how the Witch of the Wilds strode from the rookery later, not angry. Worried.
No argument either with the Nightingale.
Perhaps some had already been informed that she might need assistance. Others might have stopped her on her journey to ask what has someone with her reputation in such a flap.
The answer is the same: something of great value has fallen into the hands of the enemy, assistance and swift action are required to ensure it never falls into the clutches of Corypheus.

"Formidable enemies… Did you get a good sense of their numbers?"

"Half a dozen zealots, at least two mages," the soldier says at last, glancing to the archer to confirm.
"We believe we saw a spellbinder but they're sticking close to the artifact, likely the one entrusted to see it delivered safely. Not that that'll be happening," he hastens to add, giving a grim smile.
"Oh and no gladiators fortunately. Bloody hurts when they rush you with those shields."
"Red Templars though. At least one archer."
The pair fall silent, ready for further questioning and to allow the assembled group to confer amongst themselves.

"That we've seen-"
"No. Shadows."
A look passes between them, clearly the topic of some debate but Morrigan clearing her throat as she fixes them with a look not too unlike one from the Nightingale is enough to remind them of where they are and what they're meant to be doing, snapping to attention once again, the elf leading.
"No Knights fortunately, of that we can be very sure, at least one guard and fresh. Refused to engage so we believe that this was to be for what's in the cave. Foot soldiers, I don't believe there are any of those things, the ones with the hands that-" He mimes, rather well and helpfully, claws to indicate a horror, the name slipping his mind for the moment.
"Wonderful," Morrigan mutters, folding and unfolding her arms. "You are equipped well?" A general question for the group at large, this might be the last chance to exchange supplies or to send a runner to the camp should it come to that.
