"I was going to say Wyvern meal, but getting shot by a hunter would suck as well. Haven't heard of many eating Hart though."

"Well... guess the joke would be on them. I'm pretty sure I'd turn back into a man at some point." Willing or otherwise.

"And of course, you would have to apologize profusely for taking away their dinner, yes? How rude of you to turn back into a man!"

"Well if they like you, then it is win-win for the both of you, no?" Yes, Sam, she is suggesting you could luck out and get caught by a hungry hunter and satisfy his hunger in different ways.

"But I suppose it is easier to just stay as you are and not go galloping off into the unknown."
no subject
"Yeah, I would say it's smarter to not go running off and getting myself in trouble." Last thing that anyone needed was to come save him.

"A little difficult when he was expecting you to be dinner, but I am sure you could make do."
Her gaze shifts to look out ahead of them. The landscape shows the signs of war, and she nods firmly.
"Not in this place. It is far from safe."

There was certainly something he could say to what Christine had said, but Sam thinks better of it, biting his tongue as his eyes slowly move to look at the person directing the horse. Probably better that he doesn't and give the poor person a break.
"Right. I can always stretch my legs on the way back, or around Skyhold." A pause. "And hope that someone there doesn't shoot me"

She had a little Avvar rub... never mind.Christine is incredibly grateful to unnamed horse director. She's tried to be a good passenger, but this conversation must have them perplexed. They don't know this is standard behavior for Christine and Sam to trade these ridiculous little comments.
"That would be a terrible way to go. What would I say to your poor aunt, hmm? 'A member of the Inquisition simply could not help themselves and shot at a wild hart that was roaming the grounds outside Skyhold. Unfortunately, that hart was your nephew.'"
no subject
He's sure Asher would argue it was anything but little. They probably think the two of them were a bickering couple or something.
"If you're really going to tell my aunt that you might have to explain what you mean by 'that hart was your nephew'. You would be leaving her both heartbroken and extremely confused." His poor aunt.
no subject
He would, which is why Christine would rile him up in the first place. Or... would have riled him up, if he was still alive."Oh? You have not told your aunt of your abilities? Well, thank you for leaving it all up to me in the event of your untimely death."
no subject
He's probably rolling around in his sky grave that you would even think that of him."I kind of just leave it that I do 'mage stuff'. Nothing specific. It's safer for her, and honestly trying to explain that on paper is not the easiest. 'Oh by the way I can turn into animals now'. And I'm sure you could probably have Cyril or Kirk do it if you didn't want the responsibility." Or you know one of the the Advisors.

"But mind yourself and that is not a letter I will ever have to write."
no subject
"The letter about me dying in some bizarre hunting incident because I was mistaken for just your average wild life? Yeah, probably better not to have that happen, but you know, just in case."
no subject
"Anyway, this topic has gone so far I think it's time to turn to something else."
no subject
"So what do you think you'll try riding when we get back? A horse? Hart? You know Korrin was suggesting I get a saddle."
no subject
no subject
"I'm pretty sure you'd be thrown off a hart if you tried that." Or in his case he'd probably sit down. He only accepted ribbons and pretty things on his horns, Christine. Standards.
