With the information that had been retrieved from Craintellier it was time to strike back, to further cripple Corypheus's efforts and also have a better idea of what he had been trying to do in the first place. There were still too many unanswered questions from that whole thing.
The instructions were simple: there were reports that revealed that there was a Nevarran mage who had been invited by the Venatori to possibly join them at their place at Hasmal. The agents had been tasked to take over their place in order to get into this outpost, find whatever they can, sabotage their efforts and then get out. Infiltration and sabotage - an almost quick in and out thing.
Surely, they would be able to manage it.
(Right?)

CAPTURING A NEVARRAN
There is a boat on a river that is going down said river. Not that boats on rivers are an uncommon thing, but this particular boat happens to be of special interest to a certain group of people who are not present in this picture for now. There are guards posted around the boat, most of them wary and alert for any unexpected surprises, but some of them are less alert, because they are on a boat on a river and sure it may be pretty dark, but what's the worst that could happen.
They're about to find out soon enough.
single thread, i'm assuming?
They've identified the boat already, spotting the mage briefly during a stop to pay a toll near the capital, and so they know what to look out for, the shape of the bow and the cabin, and at the back the green and orange banner, the colors of Nessum, the mage's home city. But it's hard to make out colors in the middle of an almost-moonless night, and so even Lexa is squinting over her shoulder at the approaching craft. The boat coming near might be the right one, but is that flag green and orange? Or is it purple and yellow? Blue and gold?
She shifts her gloved grip on the rope, ready to drop it and shimmy down at any second, but holding, for now. It's almost too late when the light of the single meager torch marking the bridge finally lights the banner: green and orange, after all.
She's no leader here and who knows how the sound might carry on the water. Lexa doesn't say a word, just drops off the ledge and hooks her feet are the rope, sliding as quickly as possible toward the top of the riverboat, trying to land atop it before it's out of reach and they're forced to land in the water and swim after it. She assumes the others will follow suit.
yyy
The boat finally comes, though it perhaps takes a beat too long for them to recognize it as the right one. But nevertheless it was time to move. He quickly follows after Lexa, lips pursed tight as he works his way down the rope as well, doing his best to be as quick as possible before they miss their chance to get onto the boat. He opted to go without a staff, since it makes movement easier and having it around would just make things difficult, anyway.
Looking at the boat as they move down, though, its getting hard to say if they're going to make it in time. The boat is moving rather steadily and so are they, but their speed can't exactly match to that of a boat's.
A+ late w/starbucks
Before she has time to wind herself into further knots of anxiety, Lexa moves. Bruce moves. And so too must Adelaide hop down and attempt to not fall or miss the boat. She slides down, lips bitten against tense internal swearing. She's not going to make it, she's not going to make it, they should've vaulted from the other side, she is not going to make it-
same
But then someone else seems to have missed the timing as well, and Corvo jumps--literally--into action. While a person or two missing the boat will probably not attract the guard (things fell into the river all the time, after all), multiple splashes might draw attention. Best to minimize those as much as possible.
Besides, who likes getting soaked?
He drops his rope, pushing against the bridge to try to reach Adelaide. It's not the most elegant catch he'll ever be responsible for, but he manages to get one arm around her waist, and holds his hand out to the boat. The Outsider's Mark shines for a moment, and magic twists around them, pulling them onto the boat without a noise. Though Corvo promptly ruins it by staggering a little, still propelled by his momentum. Once he's sure he's not going to fall like an ass, he's quick to set Adelaide down, murmuring an apology for having to manhandle her in such a way.
That accomplished, he straightens, and tugs his coat back into place, looking around.
IMPRESSING THE NEW (FAKE) BOSSES
With their way of entry secured (in a sense), now it was time to actually make use of their way and try to convince the Venatori to let them in... somehow. Don't ask Bruce why through, because he certainly has no idea. Which begs the question of why he has to be the one to replace said Nevarran mage in the first place. But that was what they're going to go with, and Bruce certainly was going to try his best - there was quite a bit at stake here.
He takes a breath to calm himself, grip on the staff ('acquired' from the Nevarran, since they needed to be as authentic as possible) tightening as they approached the last few steps to where the Venatori mages were waiting for--well, him, in this scenario.
"Greetings," he begins, in what he hopes is a passable enough accent. "J'son Node, here as requested."

Not give slip that they aren't who they say they are. As long as she is able to play off her own nervous tension as exhaustion and the usual frustrations of an Apprentice under a demanding mentor- all ought to be well.

Of course, he takes the opportunity to try to get a good idea of the layout of the place, just in case.
Look at him, he's so guardly. This is totally legit.
SOME INFILTRATION ACTION
As... unorthodox as it was, the agents manage to get a warm welcome from the Venatori, and their guide starts to bring the group around - or well half of the group (comprising of Clarke, Lexa and Adelaide), since the other half isn't really available at the moment. Their guide is more than happy to give them a tour of the area, showing them the sights of this very nice lab that has such an incredible working environment. If 'incredible working environment' meant 'highly competitive and paranoid', as it quickly becomes apparent about five minutes into their tour.
While that is going on the other half of the team is busy with... body disposal, as it were. Corvo and Fenris find themselves having to lug around one (1) body of Bruce Not-Banner for the time being. The only relief they have is that Bruce is probably not as heavy as he could be, though carrying a supposedly dead body around is still kind of a struggle.
TEAM 'HAS IMPRESSED THE BOSS'
TEAM 'HAS NOT IMPRESSED THE BOSS AND HAS TO PRETEND TO BE DEAD'

At the very least, Bruce supposes he should be thankful for the fact that there was no blood spilling involved on his end. That would have made things end very differently.
Still, at least things seemed to be... working out? Granted, he still had to pretend to be dead while being hoisted by the rifter and the elf to wherever they can finally begin their part of the mission, but its hardly the worst thing he had to do. What would have been worse was--well. The thing he refused to do that had him end up here in the first place.
Keeping his eyes closed, Bruce focuses on the sounds around him, ready to 'resurrect' himself once the chance was there.

Once they get far enough, Corvo begins stopping to poke his head into doors. Once he finds one that looks quiet enough, he jerks his head towards it, then glances at Fenris, who seems to be the one person in Thedas as taciturn as he is. Or maybe he's just doing his best to play guard, too.
"Think this'll do?"
RUNNING AWAY, YAKETY SAX STYLE
Fact: They have found out some very important information that could literally be life-changing.
Fact: They have very definitely done what they came here for.
Fact: They have all also collectively blown their cover.
Not much time to really digest that last fact though, because right now what is a fact is that they have a lot of angry and murderous Venatori on their hands and they probably should get away before they actually have a chance to enact any of their murderous ideas. Collectively (or almost collectively, who knows) everyone begins to run for their lives, quickly making their escape because they really have some important stuff they need to get to the advisors.
And hey, if they end up destroying more stuff in the place while they're on the way out, all the better. More sabotage never hurt anyone.
