WAR TABLE MISSION: Infiltrate Corypheus' Anchor Experiments

WHO: Clarke, Lexa, Adelaide Leblanc, Corvo Attano, Fenris and Bruce 'Fireflake' Not-Banner
WHAT: It's payback time for Craintellier except maybe not really
WHEN: Some time during late Harvestmere idek /flaps hands at IC timing
WHERE: Hasmal, The Free Marches
NOTES: Stupid action sequences, fake deaths for shock factor!!, EXPLOSIONS and some yakety sax style of running away

With the information that had been retrieved from Craintellier it was time to strike back, to further cripple Corypheus's efforts and also have a better idea of what he had been trying to do in the first place. There were still too many unanswered questions from that whole thing.

The instructions were simple: there were reports that revealed that there was a Nevarran mage who had been invited by the Venatori to possibly join them at their place at Hasmal. The agents had been tasked to take over their place in order to get into this outpost, find whatever they can, sabotage their efforts and then get out. Infiltration and sabotage - an almost quick in and out thing.

Surely, they would be able to manage it.

Rapell to a riverboat, stealthily subdue the occupants, move on to the next part of the plan- simple enough, yes? Yes. Not particularly her style, staff slung on her back, crouching low to follow after Lexa and Bruce. This isn't what she does normally if at all. This isn't something she knows how to do well but-

Before she has time to wind herself into further knots of anxiety, Lexa moves. Bruce moves. And so too must Adelaide hop down and attempt to not fall or miss the boat. She slides down, lips bitten against tense internal swearing. She's not going to make it, she's not going to make it, they should've vaulted from the other side, she is not going to make it-

Fortunately, this is exactly Corvo's style. It's one of the reasons he agreed to the mission--it sounded like a good way to edge into this whole...helping the Inquisition thing. Might as well start off with something he's familiar with--subterfuge. He watches the boat carefully, waiting until the cue to jump. He's not quite as worried about missing the timing to jump onto the boat, but he has a good reason for his confidence.

But then someone else seems to have missed the timing as well, and Corvo jumps--literally--into action. While a person or two missing the boat will probably not attract the guard (things fell into the river all the time, after all), multiple splashes might draw attention. Best to minimize those as much as possible.

Besides, who likes getting soaked?

He drops his rope, pushing against the bridge to try to reach Adelaide. It's not the most elegant catch he'll ever be responsible for, but he manages to get one arm around her waist, and holds his hand out to the boat. The Outsider's Mark shines for a moment, and magic twists around them, pulling them onto the boat without a noise. Though Corvo promptly ruins it by staggering a little, still propelled by his momentum. Once he's sure he's not going to fall like an ass, he's quick to set Adelaide down, murmuring an apology for having to manhandle her in such a way.

That accomplished, he straightens, and tugs his coat back into place, looking around.
