Stables
One place that people could be sure to find Iskandar was at the stables. He was here a great deal since this was where his horse was and where he'd really been sleeping. When people weren't interested in sharing their beds with him anyway. That was something that certainly happened plenty since he was very large and warm. But for today he was currently seated near a wall, singing softly in a language many natives wouldn't recognize. Perhaps many Rifters wouldn't either. After all, it was his native tongue and there weren't going to be many familiar with Ancient Macedonian.
In his hands was a saddle which he had over one knee while he rubbed the leather down with an oil to keep it looking beautiful. Perhaps most Kings would find someone else to do this but this was something Iskandar had always preferred to do himself. There was just something so relaxing about it. Of course, this didn't stop him from noticing company when it arrived and he smiled at the new arrival, still singing as he did.
Library
It likely wasn't common to see a giant man enjoying so many books but there he was on the floor of the library with a nice pile of them around him. The subjects varied but it was clear he really was reading through them. In his hands right now was what looked like something about the histories of some land and he was scratching his chin as he read through it. Now and then he made a small hum in thought before he finally closed the book and went to stretch, pausing only a moment to smile.
"Ah did you want to read this one?"
Tavern
One of Iskandar's favorite places to be was the tavern. It was here he learned many of the songs of these lands and where he watched people just live. It was fascinating to say the least but it did have him developing a burning desire of sorts. One that was like an itch he couldn't quite reach. He was really going to have to take care of that soon. Which was why he went to sit near the first person that he saw that had a seat available.
At least the first thing he gave was a smile.
"Would you happen to know where one could obtain a harp or lyre?" Yes, he really was going to need one soon.
[ooc: This is an example of what Iskandar's voice would sound like. For obvious reasons this is not what he's singing. This is just to give you an idea of what the tone and such would be!]

"Verbal confirmation is also very important for lovers to learn, is it not?" he asks, reaching up and tugging a little at the ends of Iskandar's hair.
no subject
"Would you prefer I talk or use my mouth on you?" Seriously, he was amused by how Sam just was still talking so much. 'That's good' or 'more please' would really suffice.
no subject
"Maybe you should make it that I can't talk?" He's sure you're creative and will think of something.

For a time Sam is caught up in the moment, just kissing Iskandar back, that when a patch of snow falls from the branches above onto them he cannot help but jump slightly, pulling back from the kiss. As soon as it occurs to him what had happened he snorts before breaking into a fit of laughter.
no subject
Still, that had been quite startling!
"It fell on us."
no subject
"That tends to happen when you stand under snow covered trees."
no subject
This was clearly not a man with much experience with snow. True he knew it was cold and was there for colder regions but it wasn't like he knew much about it beyond that. He'd never lived in a place with snow before this place. It was taking some getting used to!
no subject
"Well did you consider it thought you were being rude?" Because clearly the snow thought them making out was rude and decided to show them what not. Without waiting for an answer he ducks under Iskandar's arm to get out of his current position so that he could freely look for a pile of snow. "I'm guessing there wasn't a lot of snow in Macedonia?" You know, that whole pants thing.
no subject
"Macedonia and the other places I conquered were warm climates. A number of the places were even in deserts."
Which...explained a lot.

Once Sam feels he has enough snow he turns back around, a small grin spreading over his face at seeing Iskandar looking up. With him distracted like that Sam takes the chance to throw the snowball at him. He's not aiming really, just in the man's general direction.
no subject
"Did you throw this snow at me?"
no subject
Obviously they both knew it was him, but hey, Iskandar asked.
no subject
Reaching down, he went to grab some snow of his own. It wasn't long before he was throwing it right back. In a pile because he hadn't realized a ball would make it throw better.
no subject
Sam snorts at that, keeping his distance, but clearly not running off, perhaps playfully nervous to be attacked while he stays to 'help'. "Not going to hit someone very well if you throw it like that."
no subject
"Should you teach a warrior how to throw snow properly though?"
no subject
"Probably not, but I'm sure you would've figured it out anyways." Still moving, Sam grabs more snow on the go and packs it before tossing it at Iskandar again. It gets far enough to reach, but ends up hitting the tree instead.
no subject
"Come here! I have gifts for you!"
no subject
"That's okay! You can keep those!"
no subject
And he was laughing again as he continued to chase after him. Snow was proving to be a surprising amount of fun actually!

"Well I'm glad you don't plan on burying me in snow, but I think I'm being effectively hidden with this cloak." He wasn't a small guy, but even for him it was rather large, easily pulling it around himself.
