"I do seem to have made myself home, haven't I?" Cyril teased a bit.

"Would you like more things to call your own? I could always try to make you some things."
no subject
"I'm not complaining or anything, just kind of realized that fact after trying to make the point that you live there as much as Jim or I. I've got a lot more then I used to have, including a house, just I don't need all that much." He supposes in the back of his mind there's always the chance they'll be relocating again, and in actuality he wasn't set in settling down in Kirkwall when everything was said and done.

He nudges Sam gently. "So what would you like to collect?"
no subject
Cyril's admittance has him grinning though, brow raising slightly for a different reason. "Well you're certainly proving that. Saying 'our' house would probably do so more." He'd like to hear that, considered the house all of theirs, but he'd take one step at a time.
"Collect?" Sam makes a face at that moment. "I don't... know. So far it seems like animals and people is what I've been collecting."
no subject
"Wait, that's a good point! The animals. You have them, and they need a home. That helps make it feel real doesn't it?"
no subject
That logic has Sam making a snort as he tries not to laugh too loudly a to not pull unneeded attention to them as they walked home. "Well technically I was already 'collecting' animals back in Skyhold when all I had was the loft." He left the chicken there, and Jim picked up a dog since then. "I'm not sure if it makes it any more real, but it is nice to have them. I don't plan on filling the house with animals though." He doesn't want to go crazy with that.
"I've already got a lot more then I ever expected having. I just don't need a whole lot of stuff."

He offers Sam a bit of a goofy smile, showing that he's meaning to tease Sam more than anything.

Even though he knows Cyril is teasing, Sam still makes a face, a thoughtful one, and hums. "What pray chance would I borrow from you?"

"I probably should get some magic books."
no subject
"Probably should? Well I suppose you could get ones with history and such, but any with runes... not sure how common those are. Course there still might be some in the Gallows... but they might want to keep those there."

"I'd give anything to see Orzammar for myself, but alas I have to stick to reading about it in books instead."

When Cyril mentions wanting to see Orzammar, specifically 'giving anything' to do that, Sam makes a face, one that doesn't look too thrilled and perhaps a bit heartbroken. It isn't Cyril's fault, he knows what he means, but the choice of words bring back a lot of images and memories from the time he was sent to the future. Cryil with scars across his face, any cheer drained away from him, and forced to live underground in Orzammar.
"I can do without seeing it for a while... again."

"I know... and you were there in the future, too. It was me who disappeared for a while..." He takes in a deep breath and tries to calm himself a bit. "Sorry. Orzammar obviously holds some bad memories for me, especially when it comes to you."
no subject
He takes Sam's hand firmly. "If you need to talk about it, I'm here."
It's much easier for him to listen than to talk about the things that bother him, honestly. And he had somehow managed to get out the major issue on his mind this time. He could be there for Sam in return.

More then likely he'd end up being the one to heal them up.
"I know, but... at the same time it isn't fair that I trample on things you want to do. It's just hard to deal with sometimes. If it was a nightmare it would be easier to forget I think, but it's an actual memory which makes it hard to get past sometimes."
