WHO: Kain and OPEN
WHAT: Kain gets some very interesting whiskey to try out
WHEN: Now-ish
WHERE: Gallows dining area
NOTES: Firebreathing!!

It's one of those chilly nights that's better spent inside. Kain has been more or less stuck in the area since getting snowed in. Conditions around the city are improving, but it's still not great to return to the mountains. So, of course, it's time to bust out the strong drinks.

He's brought a few drinks of his own along this evening, including one that he'd picked up at some point during the travels to Nevarra. Labeled Dragongut alongside a drawing of a dragon, it was mysterious when he bought it, and it's just as peculiar now. Apparently it's some sort of whiskey though. He's got to admit, he's interested. So, he pours himself some, drinking it straight without mixing anything else in.

"Ah, that's... strong. Strong, but good..." He suddenly makes a face, eyes widening as he's hit with a weird indigestion sensation. There's no use holding it back for long. He gets up abruptly and backs away, opening his mouth wide as an impressive burst of flames very suddenly blasts out. The whole display only lasts a couple of moments at most, and fortunately doesn't catch anything... but it's definitely not an everyday sight in the gallows at dinner.

After a long day of coping with the weather by researching and planning for when it eases up, Inessa finally listens to Garahel and brings them both to the dining area. She spots Kain and smiles, but even he's not enough to divert her quest for tea and toast. Garahel, on the other hand, is quite happy to let his mistress gather their food while he heads over to seek affection from the other Warden. Or he would, but Kain suddenly spews fire and that's not a normal event at all. Barking in alarm, he alerts Inessa, who glances over quickly, in time to see it. She pauses, eyes widening, at the spectacle.

"Kain! Are you--what was that?!?"

Picking up her tray, she heads over to Kain's table and sets it down, picking up the bottle that Kain acquired. She raises an eyebrow at the name. "Dragongut...well, that's certainly apt. You seem to have acquired enchanted whiskey. That's worth preserving for battle; few enemies would expect you to breath fire at them, after all."

Garahel perks up and barks at this idea, tail wagging.

Garahel barks happily, though Inessa rests a calming hand on his head. "Indoor voice, Garahel." She sets the bottle down, a smirk forming at Kain's imagination. "Yes, I'm certain that will boost our reputation. At the very least, be careful where you aim. I'll do my best to keep tonics handy, but even so it can be difficult to predict what will happen in the heat of battle."

Inessa looks him over, raising an eyebrow. "'Charred'? That sounds...lovely. I'll leave that to you, that's not an experience I feel the need to share. But against our enemies, I'll eagerly bear witness." Why not, it's no stranger than putting bees in jars and throwing them at people.
