The warehouse is set up pretty sparsely. Part of the warehouse is taken up by a table of food next to a table of drinks next to a table of plates and cups that don't match, near a lot of scattered chairs. A short space away is a deliberate oval of chairs because he, at least, is amused in making sure no circle shapes occur here. Finally, there's a table with a stack of scraps of parchment.
When everyone's gathered and is starting to mingle, Anders stands up and clears his throat.
"Thank you for coming." It takes work to look calm and confident. This feels so important to him and he doesn't want to make a mess of it. "Obviously the food and drink is self-explanatory," he says with a faint smile before gesturing at the oval, "As far as the rest, I figured we could have a small area set up for serious discussion, any heavy matters that people want to talk about, easily joined and left or ignored completely."
He jerks a thumb in the direction of the last table. "Finally, the parchment is for writing down anything you particularly want to teach or learn. Put your name on it, and people can page through them and be in contact. And I think that's enough from me."

"Please, join me."

His attempts to look misanthropic and aloof are possibly hampered by the fact that he is holding three rosquillas in one hand. He possibly looks a little bit like a child caught stealing... well, rosquillas.
"I'm impressed," he says. "People came."

Colin
The chef himself looks pleased with the work he has done, perhaps even a little smug, but for whatever reason, he's lingering instead of vanishing so the mages can get on with their business.

He takes a donut and starts snacking on it, trying not to indulge his Warden appetite just yet. If there's a bunch leftover after the rest have had firsts, then he'll go for seconds.

"I should've guessed you'd be involved, all this smells heavenly. If this is going to be a regular thing on your part, consider me bribed." At least for now; good food can go a long away towards making most other company bearable.

He's nibbling still when he sidles over to Colin. "Nice to see you here, Colin. But you know this is a meeting for," He looks around conspiratorially, and then leans in to fake-whisper to him. "Mages, right? Like. It's a mage-only club. Meeting. Whatever."

He's just as willing to crack a joke and have a giggle or two as usual, but there's something particularly intense and serious about his expression. He's a bit twitchier than usual, glancing around at faces, and occasionally over his shoulder, or at the door. He's still half-expecting the Templars to swoop in here and tell them that they're all under arrest.
This isn't illegal, he tells himself as he sips juice (avoiding alcohol completely) and munches on snacks. It does little to calm his nerves.

She also poured out the wine she bought, chatting as she did so. Smiling from ear to ear, dimples flashing as she chatted calmly and sweetly. "Here, have a glass of this, great vintage."

Colin has been hovering silently by the table, leaning back against the wall with his arms folded, listening. The question is posed calmly, during a long silence in the conversation.

"Since the fall of the circles, so many of our tomes have been lost or destroyed. Bits and pieces have been recovered, but I would certainly appreciate a more concentrated effort to seek more. Knowledge gained outside the Circles is invaluable, of course, but we should not forget the value of the knowledge within as well. I would rather see it in good hands than left to rot in ruin or overpriced at a shady merchant's stall. Whatever we can bring into Kirkwall -or have it brought in for us- would be a boon.
Assuming that happens, the question is where would be a safe place to store them? As we currently lack an immediate option that is not subject to outside interference. Any suggestions would be welcome."

"Harrowings! The fun joy of making apprentices into mages by. Yanno." He makes a vague hand gesture. You know, because he totally knows, right, fellow mages? "Can we safely say that those are no long on the docket? And that we're pretty against the whole idea? It's something I'd like to know that we're all on the same page with. I haven't heard about anyone starting them up, but. Just in case."

Fern (closed to Colin)
"I bet you think you're so sneaky, don't you," she accuses him, looking somewhere between legitimately annoyed and also legitimately impressed. She gives his shoulder a punch. "Why didn't you tell me you're a mage too?" >:c
