[Closed] Housewarming

WHO: Thor, Loki
WHAT: Do curtains really have to match drapes?
WHEN: Sliiiightly forward dated
WHERE: Kirkwall
NOTES: Potential racism, potential brotherly stabbing.

It's not their first choice of estate they wind up buying, or even their second. It's a few places down the list but it has a grand fountain (currently frozen) and a grand hall (currently dusty and empty) and two rooms that are equally large on opposite sides of the house. Thor loves his brother dearly, but sometimes they both really need their space.

Currently he's standing in the grand hall, shaking his head at a fabric supplier.

"I do not see why red and gold are not always... in season, and why they should not be what our hall is draped in. Flowers have seasons. Grandness should not."

"What? No, it's perfectly stable, just hideous," Loki replies and directs some of the dwarves to the stairs so that they might begin properly repairing them. They aren't marble, but they will do with some new wood inlays and a good hard refinishing. He notices his brother turning carefully, keeping him at the front as he strides the hall, but he cannot fault him.

A healthy dose of paranoia is good for him, really, and Loki is very nearly proud to have inspired it.

"We are not suspected as members of the Venatori, nor were we found in their company," Loki explains. "The dalish savage rather likes me, I expect, and the rifter elf fellow is distrustful but clever enough to be amenable. He will not turn on you without considerable provacation."

Loki pauses his directing to turn back to Thor.

"Do not assault any of the Qunari filth that litter Kirkwall; he will take personal exception, I'm sure." Loki turns back and gestures at the widows walks on the second and third floor. Several men are currently trying to hang their house banner between the lot of them and fumbling terribly.

"You there, turn it the other way!" He shakes his head and returns the conversation to Thor. "Brother, it would do you well to always assume that someone is going to stab you in the back. If nothing else, I would have hoped you'd be prepared for that by now."
