With the Rifters drifting in and out of memory, the Templar needing a near constant slow infusion of lyrium--some needing to be doped up with sleeping draughts as fast as Colin, Christine, and the others who’ve devoted their time to the pursuit can make them--and the runners moving slower and slower as they sleep less and less, it's decided that moving everyone to a more easily watchable location for care would be the best, and safest, play.

[Nahariel, Colin, Audra, and any others who remain blessedly unaffected and volunteer are headed out to wrangle you... u mad?]

II. You'll pry my room out of my cold dead hands!

They're going to try to push for it, but aren't going to force you. They do need to know where you are, especially the Rifters... who keep being forgotten just this side of entirely. Your location information is going to be taken down, and they'll continue to come visit you. This can be handwaved, or we can thread it out!

[If you'd like your poor sick bb to be dragged out kicking and screaming, go ahead and indicate that in your tag. Alternately, send me a line @ shaestorms and we can figure out how to pry you loose together. Once you're there, throw a tag to whine about it if you like!]

"Hmmm..." he hums thoughtfully, "A brilliant sapphire blue."

"Why sapphire?" Elros leans against him, looks up curiously.

[castintoflames]

"Like the sea; like the sky. It's a powerful, endless color. Mortality might take you, but it won't extinguish you." he speaks the words softly, passionately.

He burrows close and laughs, happily.

"I always feel like it is something of a miracle I didn't end up with a swelled head, with all these praises you heap on me!"

That sound right there is what makes everything worthwhile.

"Let me see..." he traces over said head with his fingertips, kissing Elros's forehead in the process, "No, it seems to be normal size."

"Are you sure?" Elros grins up at him, content.

[castintoflames]

"I would remember it growing too large." Maedhros smiles softly, "Your head is the perfect size."

[tar_minyatur]

"Ah, but I have outgrown the boy you sent away."

[castintoflames]

"Yes, but the rest of you grew in proportion." he lifts an arm and then playfully examines Elros's leg.

He giggles at that and leans against him.

"I wanted to be taller than you, when I was younger."

[castintoflames]

"Ah that would not have happened." he looks touched nonetheless, snuggling Elros against his chest, "This height is...most certainly...inherited."

He is not like Thingol.

"Grandfather is pretty tall, or so I hear." Elros grins up at him saucily. "As is great-grandfather. Isn't Turgon supposed to be taller than you?"

"Oh yes, but Great-Grandfather was even taller." Maedhros smiles, amused, "We have never stood back to back. He could be."

"So I had a chance!"

Elros sighs in mock pique.

"Must be all the noogies I had growing up that stunted my growth."

[castintoflames]

"A small one." he snickers and reaches up to add another noogie to the number, "Then it won't matter if I give you another!"

"No noogies!" Elros flails at him.

"I'm sick! I cry foul!"

[castintoflames]

"I see no fowl." he jokes, "What a strange time to talk about ducks!"

[tar_minyatur]

Elros squirms and pokes him indignantly in the ribs.

"No noogies!"

Thankfully his achy body screams in protest under that poke. Thankfully for Elros, that is.

"Be gentle, be gentle!"

[tar_minyatur]

"Sorry." Elros settles immediately, contrite.

"Didn't mean to hurt you."

[castintoflames]

He chuckles half-heartedly and pulls him into a careful embrace.

"You know I would suffer far worse for you."

[tar_minyatur]

Elros hugs him back.

"I know. But what if I don't want you to?"

[castintoflames]

"I appreciate the thought!" he takes off his cloak and wraps it around Elros.

[tar_minyatur]

Elros shoves it back at him fondly.

"You need it too."

[castintoflames]

"I have you." he huffs and pushes back, "Or are you leaving me?"
