WHO: Fenris, Cyril, and Adasse (it's an elf trip!!)
WHAT: Assignment: A Favor for a Favor
WHEN: Early/mid this month
WHERE: Tevinter, specifically somewhere on the road between Carestes and Minrathous
NOTES: I mean it's TEVINTER. They're dealing with slavery here, so there may be warnings from that. Violence is a given. Also probably lots of Tevene swearing.

Fenris readjusts his hood as they wait. It's a necessity to keep as covered as possible whenever he returns here, for obvious reasons. He really does sometimes question the Inquisition for sending him back to this place, the one place he despises most of all… But there's sense to it. He knows the language better than most anyone else they have. He knows the culture of their enemy, as vile as it is, understands exactly what they're up against. His insider knowledge is worth the risk, so it would seem.

"They should be coming this way soon... Are we set?"

He looks to the others, wanting to confirm they're ready before they split to take up their positions. They'd spent a while setting up this plan, and now, it's time to put it into action. A trap is set to break down the caravan, delaying them long enough for Fenris to launch his distraction. He's relying on the others and their stealthier approaches to really balance things out in the meantime. They'd found out that there are quite a few guards on these slaves, as Mettius Cotta isn't one to take too many chances. They'll have to ensure that none of the slavers ride off to spread word about what's happening, as well. That means they'll need to take out any extra riders they've got alongside the main carriage. There can be no witnesses. No survivors.

Word can't get back about the Inquisition's involvement. That's the critical factor here... anything else that happens is really up to them. Fenris, of course, is all for a bloody approach… but he knows they must balance that out, as well. That's entirely the reason why he's got the other two with him.

Adasse is already pulling his mask over his face, and keeping his hood well over his own ears as well. All that can be seen are his brown eyes, that looked over to Fenris.

"We're all set as long as everyone remembers the plan."

He had a pretty good idea why precisely they sent three elves to fetch the other two - but coming up with a plan that would not point directly towards the Inquistion? Rather more complex, after all. He would not give voice to darker thoughts.

"And everyone remembers, lower voices, try for accents. That's best for a mercenary group."

Cyril is careful to hide anything about his appearance as well and just nods at the other two to show that he's ready. There's a thrill of fear in his stomach as he thinks of all of the ways this could go wrong, but the thought of doing something good overrides it all.

He wasn't sure he could hide his Dalish accent for very long, so he was opting to say as little as possible while they were in the thick of things. For now, he was ready to get started.

Adasse, on his end, has two major missions he has to accomplish. While Fenris pulls them in with the attack, drawing them almost all away from the back of the caravan, Adasse and Cyril need to take care of the guards in the back without drawing attention to themselves.

Something slightly easier for a thief and a Dalish hunter, to be honest. The slaver driving the cart in back only has to crane his neck over to the side to see what is happening to have himself pulled down and his throat slit, mouth covered to disguise the gurgling. The guard next to him on horseback? Dagger in the throat.

Two down, another two to go, but Adasse knows Cyril has them. He's got to get started on the second part -- which is naturally -- the locks on the cages.

Cyril is able to silently take out the two that are in his sight with his bow, the arrows flying as true and steady. He's gotten used to killing men instead of animals, but at least these men are slavers. Thedas is better without them.

He's not as skilled as Adasse in lockpicking, so the thief might be able to unlock more faster than he can, but he still sets to the task as quickly as he possibly can. For now he doesn't speak to the slaves, although there is a desire to reassure them to let them know that this is a rescue.

He can't risk his Dalish accent being heard until they know for sure the slavers are all dead. He doesn't want to make any trouble for any Clans that might be close to the borders. There can be moments for comfort once everyone is safe.

Adasse is working his magic with the lockpicks as fast as he can, but with magic flying about it's a bit ... harder than usual. He mutters in a low Orlesian curse - Fucking Vints Anyways. His gaze lifts as his fingers work, to Cyril, tipping his head towards Fenris's direction. Could Cyril take the swordsman out of the picture so both Fenris and Adasse could finish up?

Seriously, fireballs were not conducive to crime..

Cyril is thinking along the same lines as Adasse and he looks up to confirm that Adasse will be fine before moving quickly to aim an arrow at the swordman. He plans to help take out the mage as well, as Adasse should be fine with the cages and the locks. At least his arrows can provide support to Fenris during the last of the fight.

That arrow, the flash of spells bouncing off metal, gives Adasse the time to work open the locks. He pulls the chain free, then gestures the two slaves to turn themselves over to his companion with the boy. Keeping his voice low, and rough, and definitely Orlesian.

"Take them out of here. I shall help our partner dispose of the rest." A bloody blade flashes suddenly in his hand, making the young female elf let out a soft noise and move closer to Cyril. Adasse ignored this, as he slipped his other dagger free, starting to creep up on the mage.

Cyril keeps his bow out in case there turns out to be any other hostiles, but he is quick to move closer and gesture to the slaves to follow him. He needs to get them out of the way, safe and calm. He trusts Adasse and Fenris to finish off the mage and focuses on the people they came to save.

Never turn your back on a rogue, all his thieving mentors said. This is especially true of Adasse, who slips right up behind the mage almost like he was invisible. One hand goes over the mage's mouth, and the other draws his blade across his throat in what was called a 'Kirkwall Grin', wide and open, blood pouring out as Adasse dropped the now dying mage on the ground.

He saluted Fenris with his dagger. Go on, finish off the other nitwit.

Cyril still has his bow out to protect the freed slaves, but the other two are doing a good job of keeping the slavers occupied. Still, he gets somewhere save and guards them until they know for sure the dust has settled from the fight.

"Oh yeah." Adasse stated with a smirk, as he started to go through the mage's pockets to pull things loose and free. "All right, let's grab what we can and then get out of here."

Otherwise, bandit attack would be thrown right out of the window. They had to rob them, but blind.

Cyril finally moves to pull down his hood and considers the slaves they had rescued. "Are you all right?" he asks. His concern is mostly on them, he knows the other two will go about staging the scene.

He makes sure that they are uninjured and that they know they are safe with the trio of elves who are here now. He isn't entirely sure how they feel about having a Dalish elf with them, but they don't seem to be flinching away from him so that's a good sign.
