NOTES: This log contains prompts for the ARRIVAL and RECOVERY of new rifters, which are closed to new rifters and to the characters involved in the catacombs escape/rescue team in the Tevinter plot. It also contains a new QUARANTINE prompt that is open to everyone.

[ Her nose wrinkles in sympathy. ] We had these little... winged beasties. All teeth and hungry.

[ Yuck. A few scars left that had - left their own kind of scars behind. ]

No? The world has changed that much for you?

Changed that much-

-oh.

[She shrugs a little.]

I don't think the world changed. I think people did.

[shri]

I suppose so.

[ But her hand lifts, waves - she hadn't come entirely for idle chit chat. ]

I serve here with the Diplomacy Division. In particular, I work to aide the Inquisition aide those who need help here. Refugees, displaced poor and hungry, the slums of the city. To provide relief when and as it is needed. If you ever feel like lending a hand, I would be much obliged for it.

[She tips her head a little.]

Let me think about it.

Well - should you want to. My door is always open... and it goes a long way, I hope to find, with the natives of this place, that we do what we can for them, rifters especially.

[ Her own game - but not a very subtle one or one that she minces about too much. If they are to be cared for, they must give sustainable reasons to be worthy of it. ]

And for anything else... my door is always open to you.

[She lifts her head a little like she's puzzling this out.]

Yeah?

Okay.

holy redundant statements batman.... rip....

And... [ She looks about, the once, careful and steps only a fraction closer. Not to box her in, but that she can speak low, quiet. ]

They fear much here, that they do not know, or understand. So best... to pick and choose who you talk to about what. They will not say it out directly. But it is only of recent that all those that... fall from the sky were little better than demons in the minds of many.

I'm not a demon.

[She says it with a slight arch of her shoulders, a look that resembles what a dog might do when it starts to tense up, when it looks like it might attack.]

[ Lakshmi opens her palms, upwards - a simple placating gesture. ] Nor am I. For a great deal that I meet, that is something that is yet to be completely proven.

[pyrazine]

As long as we're clear.

[Her shoulders come down a little. It's important, because where she's from, a demon could disguise themselves. It wouldn't even be difficult.]

[shri]

[ No demons, but the British faces were quick to slide away, to fanged beasts with bloodthirsty howls. Genteel Lords that came smiling that even as their bodies twisted, still they smiled. ]

I only ask you keep it in mind when talking to them. We are not welcome here.
