Well he has to admit, he's a little impressed. Kinda. Alright, a decent amount. He was not expecting a fortress in the middle of the Frostback Mountains. At least nothing like that.

Garris gives a low whistle, paying more attention to the walls and gates of Skyhold than directing his horse. Not that he has to mind it much since it was following behind obediently behind Emmie's. Even with the cool mountain air giving him a second wind it is obvious that the lot of them are tried from their trip.

Once they've cleared the gates, Garris is more then eager to hop off his horse and stretch, to which he makes a spectacle of, mostly for Emmeline. He has to say Skyhold was an even grander sight on the inside, and he can already see a couple things that make the trip worth it. There's a tavern and a training area; one or both of which he's probably going to hit up right away, and he's sure Emmie is itching for something to do since they've been on the road for a while.

There are always new people coming into Skyhold all the time to lend their services to the Inquisition, and by now Bruce was more or less used to the steady stream of people that came in.

As such, when there were new arrivals Bruce didn't pay them much mind even though he was hovering around the entrance, keeping to himself and his work as he attended to the patients in the area. Of course, though he may be busy he wasn't going to turn down anybody if they asked him for help. Or they might notice the bandages wrapped around him since it was probably odd to see somebody apparently injured going around to treat other people. Either way, Bruce wasn't going to stop anybody from approaching him.

Emmeline's quick to get off her horse, and Bruce is the first person she sees as she does. Garris has been her traveling companion for Maker knows how long, and while she enjoys his company, there's only so much of one person she can stand for some time without wanting to throttle them. Same could probably be said of her, but she digresses.

"Excuse me," she starts. Her voice is light, Orlesian by the tilt of it. When he sees her, she offers a smile. "Quick question, if you're not busy."

Bruce takes a moment before he addresses her, finishing up with his current patient before he can turn his attention to her, and looking apologetic as he does so.

"Yes--sorry, I didn't want to hold him up for much longer." 'Him' being the patient that Bruce had been last attending to, of course. Bruce takes a moment to properly register the woman in front of him before he continues. "How can I help you?" Judging from what he could see she must have just arrived - new, he presumed, although it was hard to tell sometimes. They could have been an undercover agent for all he knew and not realize it.

"Hey E-" Oh. Garris is quick to shut his mouth, raising a brow as he catches sight of Emmeline already grabbing someone for questions. Someone who was sporting a good amount of bandaging in certain places to be exact. Was the Inquisition that hard up on people that they had the injured taking care of things?

Still, Garris simply stands next to his horse, petting it lightly, content on just listening in for the time being.

"It's quite alright," she's quick to respond. He's got to be a healer, she thinks, then reprimands herself. Of course he's a healer, they wouldn't be letting just anyone help out with the injured.

"Mind pointing us in the direction of anyone who's in charge? Or anyone who can answer questions, really."

Well, it seemed that they were indeed new people to the Inquisition. Bruce gives a short bow of his head and then a smile, hoping that it at least looked welcoming enough.

"If you're asking the Inquisition in general, there's Seeker Pentaghast and the other advisers," he answered, then gestured in the direction of where the main part of Skyhold was. "They're usually in there, discussing things as needed. Otherwise you can probably ask around and somebody should have seen them about."

Seeker Pentaghast and slew of other high ends? Garris stores that for later. "Maybe you can tell us a little bit what's going on here," he speaks up, keeping a hold of his horse's reins as he steps up to Emmie.

"Garris," he says, offering his name as he nods his head in greeting. "We've been traveling for a while. What kind of living arrangements are here since I see that there are a lot of people milling about."

"Emmie," She replies in kind. No need to use fancy full names for now. "My friend here only asks because we're tired. It's been a long journey, and someone," she starts, making a quick, pointed glare at Garris, "gets a bit cranky."

"Bruce," he returns with a nod himself, and then proceeding to incline his head. "And I don't mind telling you whatever you want to know, as long as I do know about it." He wasn't exactly up to date with everything that happened in Skyhold, as much as he'd like to be. "As for living arrangements, it depends on what you're here for. Most people usually get a bit of space for themselves, but with the number of people coming it, space has been rather scarce."

When Emmeline turns back around to face Bruce, Garris easily points at her back and mouths that she was the one that gets cranky. Obviously. You saw how snappy she got with him, right?

"Well if the Inquisition isn't opposed to it, I'd be willing to just pitch a tent somewhere." Yeah, just from the looks of it it looked like space was hard to come by. "So what do you do here, Bruce? I see you're tending to the injured."
