Well he has to admit, he's a little impressed. Kinda. Alright, a decent amount. He was not expecting a fortress in the middle of the Frostback Mountains. At least nothing like that.

Garris gives a low whistle, paying more attention to the walls and gates of Skyhold than directing his horse. Not that he has to mind it much since it was following behind obediently behind Emmie's. Even with the cool mountain air giving him a second wind it is obvious that the lot of them are tried from their trip.

Once they've cleared the gates, Garris is more then eager to hop off his horse and stretch, to which he makes a spectacle of, mostly for Emmeline. He has to say Skyhold was an even grander sight on the inside, and he can already see a couple things that make the trip worth it. There's a tavern and a training area; one or both of which he's probably going to hit up right away, and he's sure Emmie is itching for something to do since they've been on the road for a while.

When Emmeline turns back around to face Bruce, Garris easily points at her back and mouths that she was the one that gets cranky. Obviously. You saw how snappy she got with him, right?

"Well if the Inquisition isn't opposed to it, I'd be willing to just pitch a tent somewhere." Yeah, just from the looks of it it looked like space was hard to come by. "So what do you do here, Bruce? I see you're tending to the injured."
