Korrin is, obviously. She snorts, shaking her head at that nonsense. "How do you make up with someone shooting you? Do you really trust that she won't do it again, Mal? Honestly."

She stares out at the sea and sighs. "I should've asked Araceli to come with me. She loves the sea, and has been without for too long. And though she's not the elf you need, she's clever and quick. This would be easier with her."

"We made up!" That means it won't happen again- or he's gotta shoot first. Either way he won't mind work'n with her all that much; she pays when he does work and it's been a year or two since she shot him.

No need to make a fuss.

"...You're a li'l sweet on her, huh?" Never thought he'd live to see the day- mostly cuz they move around so damn often. Work like theirs don't lend well to stick'n in one place all that long. Find'n ways to scratch an itch take priority over gett'n all romantical.

Korrin chuckles, her expression oddly self-conscious for once. "...or more than just a little. Yeah, I know. I didn't expect it to happen either; we're always on the go, or at least we were, and it's easier not to get attached. Then this woman tumbles out of a rift and next thing I know she's sharing her stories and making me dinner. How can I refuse that?"

"...So you join up with the Inquisition, wish on a star- and out tumbles a wife." A swashbuckling wife. "You know that's how Wash tells it, him 'n Zoë. Don't make a lick a sense to me but you know what I always say. If there's somth'n good you want that's in reach? Get ahold on it and don't let go. Life's too short t'not."

If Korrin's skin tone allowed it, there'd be a visible blush by now. As it is, she just shakes her head with a small grin. "A wife? I just met her a few months ago, it's a bit soon for that. Not that Wash and Zoe are a terrible example to follow, though...." Maybe someday. But it's hard to think of the future when there's a darkspawn magister on the lose trying to ruin everything. "And I don't intend on letting go, as long as she'll have me. Whatever happens later, this is too good to pass up now."

"Tell'n you stories, cook'n you dinner, wind'n you about to want'n to bring her along on this kinda nonsense? If that ain't the beginn'ns of a very fine wife I dunno what is." Ignore that he'd been married before in a way that nearly got him and his killed. He don't talk about that for a reason.

"Good. Keep her happy, she'll keep you happy."

It's still far too soon to seriously think about anything in the way of marriage, but Mal's words get a smile out of her nonetheless. And no, she'll refrain from talking about that disaster of a 'marriage' on his end. Korrin can be kind sometimes, subtle as well as overt.

"I'll introduce you when we get back, assuming there isn't some fresh crisis to distract us. Be nice and maybe she'll cook for you, too. Her meals are large enough to feed armies."

"Mmmm. Almost-wife food. Best kind, that." He blinks out at the horizon for a moment before peer'n up at her. "You ever get sleepy after she kisses you? Just. Ask'n."

For his own peice of mind. People what seem too good to be true? Always are.

Korrin just rolls her eyes, brushing her stray strands of her hair back when the sea wind sets them free. "No, nothing like that. I'm pretty that's just your own bad luck. If she wasn't a rifter, I'd think her a bard, she could do well as one. But I don't mind the dashing rogue type, you know. Especially when she's climbing all around Skyhold and I get to enjoy the view."

"One time, it happens one time-" Foutu bard trained ladies try'n to steal his ship and get him killed, all pretty and eloquent and articulate and such. What else was he supposed t'do? "Oh she's that one that had River learn'n some new things?"

Little bug girl, he minds her. Sometimes.

She nods, having seen River around though they don't really talk or hang out. The girl's just strange, and their worlds don't often intersect. "You mean the parkour lessons? Araceli's been doing those for a while now, mostly for the roguish types. It's not for me, but I do like to watch sometimes."

And not just to ogle the Antivan-ish rifter woman.

"One of 'ems gonna break their fool necks at this rate and I'm not gonna clean it up." Won't be his fault neither, he's not tak'n that kinda responsibility. Still, it is somth'n to watch. "Fanciest I get is trick rid'n. Or mind'n my own rigg'n."

"That's why I help sometimes, you know. If I cast a Barrier, they have a short window do pull any stupid stunt they want. Only sometimes, though. I don't want them to get reliant on me, since you never know when you'll have to parkour without a mage around." Barrier is such a useful spell and even Korrin, ever fixed on the offensive, can't do without it.

"SO you just catch'em when they slip so they don't hit the ground and go splat?" That's- pretty useful. "Remind me to write Wash 'bout learn'n that one."

His magic was all focused on help'n the ship sail smooth. Barrier might be useful for more than keep'n them from gett'n shot. "Ain't a half bad idea, that. You'll probably get some use outta it here."

"That's...not comforting at all, you know." Korrin shoves Mal lightly for that, ready to follow him into danger but that doesn't mean she won't give him crap for it. "Just remember, I'm no healer. If we get separated from those who can, we're screwed."

"We just gotta keep close to li'l miss City Elf. She ain't a mage, best I can tell, but she can keep us from bleed'n out. Skittish thing, though. Don't rightly know why she signed on." Maybe the pay's good.

That prompts a shrug from Korrin, similarly clueless. "I couldn't say, she's not someone I'm familiar with. The elves I know in Skyhold are the Dalish ones, like Beleth. She'll be a good one to have, though. Not as invisible as a City Elf, sure, but she's damn good at what she does."

"Always good to have an extra Archer." If she and Clint are any good it'll make his life easier. Cover's important on these jobs.
