It's not exactly Dante's style, he's a less is more kind of guy, allowing for more flexibility in movement, this is the embodiment of excess. To many layers, too many belts, too many wraps and too much armor. Necessary for the disguise perhaps, but it was a bit much if he needed to fight. The one thing he does it pull the hood up, not that silvery white hair is uncommon here, but it does stand out and he doesn't want to stand out.

Their assignment? Pissing off a bunch of druffalo and feeding some hungry refugees in the process, not the most exciting thing he's ever done in his life, but it's not the dumbest thing he's ever done either. It could ultimately be worse, and at the very least it was going to be quick...at least he hoped it would be quick.

Taking in the stranger, Dante tried to place his face, there were so many faces he couldn't remember them all even if he had a million years to try, but this man seemed unassuming if not a little on the grungy side and happy to be so. Dante was pretty trashy himself, but he didn't go out of his way to roll around in dirt. Not that he judged anyone with such an affinity, but he was bemused, if nothing else, observing as Edgard's eyes looked from him to the ground and back.

"Every time I've seen a Tevinter soldier they look put together, but I'll let you make that executive call," roll around on the ground if it makes you happy is what Dante is trying to say.

When the topic at hand shifts to their mission and herding, no, Dante had never herded a thing a day in his life, but he didn't get an opportunity to respond immediately, waiting for Edgard to give him his resume before shaking his head.

"Never set foot on a farm personally, but I can scare the shit out of some animals if we're talking about skill sets," Dante would be better suited to causing a stampede less suited to rounding up cattle and shepherding them off.

Dante's right there with you, kind of, the uniform is a bit too uptight for Dante's taste, he hasn't dressed this cringe in years.

"Don't be so glum, look, druffalo wrangling is bound to be messy work. If you get thrown into the dirt well...that's part of the job," if you understand what he's saying, not that he gets it really, but Edgard really seems to be itching to roll around in the mud.

"Look, I have an idea," Dante glanced upward, his eyes fixed on a point, a tall wall on a mountain side, "now I might have been seeing things but there could be a dragon nesting nearby, young, not very big...but big enough to snack on a duffalo."

He's lying, Dante saw no such thing.

"It would make sense, right? A herd of druffalo converging in one place, it's a dragon buffet!"

So why wouldn't there be dragons?

"I'll try and harass it into swooping down onto the druffalo and scaring the shit out of them, hopefully it will drive them south and you can snatch a few in the chaos."

"A dragon in a literal sense? Nah. We don't have dragons where I come from, we have something much worse...and bigger," depending on the demon, Dante has seen demons that could eclipse a dragon in size, "a tiny dragon? Should be a piece of dirt cake!"

Dante still thinks dragons are an excellent idea even if he's making it up for the sake of the mission, a short-term goal would be to find a dragon and maybe ride one. Dangerous? Yes. But it does sound like a good time.

"So, I'm going to climb that hill and as soon as you see the dragon take cover, but keep the druffalo in your sight," Dante began, walking in the direction of said hill, "if all goes well, I'll join you and we'll wrestle with some druffalo."
